7 for 4 or AP discount?

Couldn't find where anybody has brought this up, has anyone tried to get two rooms using the buy 4 nights and get 3 nights with tickets free promotion? If yes, did you get the discount on both of the rooms and all of the tickets? I have grown kids who don't want to share a room with mom & dad. Yet I want to be able to keep an eye on them so I don't want to make two separate reservations and get put at opposite end of the resort. Or do I hold out for a possible AP discount since we're going to upgrade or tickets to AP passes? Any ideas or suggestions?

We are using this promotion and there are 5 of us. We couldn't all stay in the same room at All Star Movies so we did book 2 separate reservations. I asked about adjoining rooms and the agent told me that if the two rooms were family we would be guaranteed an adjoining room for the 2 reservations.

Our dates also fall in the promotion that gives us the $200 gift card. Because we booked 2 reservations each one will get the gift card. $200 for me and $200 for my wife.

Hope this helps.

Adjoining - rooms are in close proximity to each other

Connecting - rooms have an interior connection door...

You can do it without a problem but it it will be done as 2 separate reservations if the kids in the second room are 18 or over. Right now the buy 4 get 3 deal is a little better than the AP deal unless you are a Florida resident and can get Florida Resident seasonal AP's.

Drop me a line and I can get you some hard numbers and get you booked at whatever will be the best deal for you.

Guys, thanks for the info. It does help.

Master Yoda I may take you up on the booking for me. I'll get back as soon as I firm up the dates. Since they moved Star Wars dates back, the week we were planning does not include a SW weekend. The wife is a little disappointed. She may want to go a little earlier. We loved seeing DV dance to Thriller.

I hope everything works out for you. Just a word of caution ... Disney does NOT guarantee adjoining or connecting rooms. The reservation agent misspoke. Even if the agent puts it in writing on the reservation, it is not a guarantee from Disney.

I'm not trying to be negative at all. I just want you to be aware of the facts of the situation. WHen you are standing at the front desk checking-in, make sure the cast member knows you requested adjoining rooms (or connecting rooms, whichever you requested).
