7 day trip with half WDW and half Universal

How would you set this up for the hotel and everything?

Let's pretend I was going July 28th - Aug 5th. Could I very well just stay at Pop Century the entire week and just take Uber or Lyft to Universal the days I wanted to go? Or would you do a split stay of Pop one half, and then Cabana the other?

Just curious on some advice. I just got back from a trip last week but may be going with my brother end of July now.

If you can spend the extra $$, I'd say upgrade from Cabana to Royal Pacific, as staying there gets you the 'express pass' which is basically an auto fastpass to every ride. I don't believe you get that at Cabana or Sapphire.

I'd switch places halfway and stay at that park's resorts, but that's just me. I could do without the headache of driving on I-4, Uber or no, and I imagine the slight inconvenience of moving hotels would be worth the saved hassle of commuting to/from one to another

This. Driving one day wouldn't be bad, but every day is not something I'd want to do. I'd also stay at a resort that offers the express pass as well.
