I now have here my proposal for Downtown Disney at my proposed 6th Disney theme park. So far, DD has 38 establishments; 9 more than Disneyland Anaheim and 18 less than WDW (28 if you include the Boardwalk!). The layout will be similar to that of DL Anaheim, but a bit larger, and is located in a central hub between the three parks; unlike WDW's Downtown Disney, which seems quite out of the way!

Here is a list of what I have so far:

DOWNTOWN DISNEY MARKETPLACE

Food and Restaurants:
1.) Alfredo's of Rome (L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante)
2.) Baskin-Robbins
3.) Chef Mickey's: Similar to Chef Mickey's at WDW (Hong Kong DL will get a Chef Mickey's when it opens), this restaurant offers character meals at breakfast and dinner; hosted by none other than Mickey Mouse himself!
4.) Cinnamon Bay Bakery (a full service bakery and café specializing in cinnamon rolls)
5.) Fulton's Crab House
6.) Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop
7.) Gourmet Pantry
8.) Marceline's Confectionery
9.) McDonald's
10.) Pretzel Time
11.) Wolfgang Puck Café

Shopping:
1.) The Art of Disney
2.) Barnes and Noble Bookseller Megastore
3.) Disney at Home
4.) Disney's Days of Christmas
5.) Illuminations
6.) LEGO Imagination Center
7.) Liquid Planet (store seeing beachwear and accessories)
8.) Marketplace House of Magic (a magic shop, along with demonstrations for the customers!)
9.) Once Upon a Toy
10.) Silver & Gold Gallery
11.) Team Mickey's Athletic Club
12.) World of Disney

DOWNTOWN DISNEY PARADISE PLAZA

Similar to Paradise Plaza at Disneyland Anaheim; this is primarily Downtown Disney's entertainment district, with a few shops and restaurants.

Food/Restaurants/Entertainment:
1.) AMC Theaters 24
2.) Big Easy Jazz Kitchen
3.) ¡Bongos Y Arriba! Latino Cafe: Jointly owned by Gloria Estefan and the managment of DL's Anaheim's ¡Y Arriba! ¡Y Arriba!, ¡Bongos Y Arriba! combines the best features of the two dinner clubs, and offers a global scope of Hispanic food and music from various Latin American countries!
4.) Cirque du Soleil
5.) DisneyQuest
6.) ESPN Club
7.) House of Blues
8.) Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament
9.) Planet Hollywood (with adjacent Planet Hollywood: On Location shop)
10.) Rainforest Café

Shopping:
1.) Celebrity Eyeworks Studio
2.) DTV
3.) Hoypoloi
4.) Starabilias
5.) Virgin Megastore (sells a wide variety of music, videos, and DVD's)

In addition, there is a monorail stop between DD Marketplace and Paradise Plaza; as the monorail also is also connected to the three theme parks and all hotels.

If anyone here has questions, comments, and/or suggestions, please feel free to post; since I can use your feedback! Coming up next will be the hotels for this proposed 6th park! :)

IIRC, Disneyland Anaheim's Downtown Disney has no nightclub district, which I modeled this parks DD after. Not sure if DL Anaheim will have nightclubs in the future-- I chose their DD since my proposed park is nowhere on the scale of WDW. Anyway, I'm glad you brought that up, and may very well include a nightclub district in my next draft! :)

Everyone goes to Universal CityWalk for the nightclubs anyway, so no big deal.

I love how this is coming along. Downtown Disney looks great. Make it the ESPN Zone though, there's a big diffrence between the ESPN Zone and the ESPN Club!

How did Universal get in the middle of this? This proposed park is obviously nowhere near Orlando or Anaheim, and the proposed Disney park obviously would be built in an area with no other major theme parks. As far as I know, Disney almost always gets there before Universal or other theme park competition!

What's the difference between ESPN Club and ESPN Zone? You're talking to someone who's never been to either park! Try to fill me out on this a little.

The ESPN Club is a smaller version of the ESPN Zone. The ESPN Zone is usually three stories, with the first consisting of a large shop and the restaurant, the second having more of the restaurant, and in the basement is a huge arcade filled with unique games to test your stuff at sports and also your normal arcade games. The ESPN Club at the Boardwalk is nothing but a restaurant

A few minor revisions

I have made a few minor revisions to Downtown Disney at my proposed Disney theme park. Once again, Downtown Disney's layout will be similar to that of Disneyland's DD in Anaheim, but a bit larger, and located on a central hub between the two parks; unlike WDW's Downtown Disney, which seems quite out of the way!

Here is what I now have for Downtown Disney:

DOWNTOWN DISNEY MARKETPLACE

Food and Restaurants:
1.) Alfredo's of Rome (L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante)
2.) Baskin-Robbins
3.) Chef Mickey's: Similar to Chef Mickey's at WDW (Hong Kong will get a Chef Mickey's when it open next year), this restaurant offers character meals at breakfast and dinner. Guests are joined at both meals by Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Chip & Dale.
4.) Cinnamon Bay Bakery (a full service bakery and café specializing in cinnamon rolls)
5.) Fulton's Crab House
6.) Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop
7.) Marceline's Confectionery
8.) McDonald's
9.) Wetzel's Pretzels
10.) Wolfgang Puck Café

Shopping:
1.) The Art of Disney
2.) Barnes and Noble Bookseller Megastore
3.) Basin (selling candles, soaps, and bath crystals; just to name a few items)
4.) Disney at Home
5.) Disney's Days of Christmas
6.) Illuminations
7.) LEGO Imagination Center
8.) Liquid Planet (store seeing beachwear and accessories)
9.) Marketplace House of Magic (a magic shop, which also offers demonstrations for the customers!)
10.) Once Upon a Toy
11.) Silver & Gold Gallery
12.) Team Mickey's Athletic Club
13.) World of Disney

9.) Planet Hollywood (with adjacent Planet Hollywood: On Location shop)
10.) Rainforest Café

Shopping:
1.) Celebrity Eyeworks Studio

In addition, there is a monorail stop between DD Marketplace and Paradise Plaza; as the monorail also is also connected to the two theme parks and all hotels.

As for a nightclub district, nothing has been planned so far. Keep in mind that my Disney theme park resort has been planned as more of a daytrip (ie: Disneyland) as opposed to a entire vacation destination like WDW. Also, my Downtown Disney list is for opening day, so there's no telling what else would show up here as the years go by; given profits and park attendance!

If anyone here has questions, comments, and/or suggestions, please feel free to post; since I can use your feedback! Coming up next will be the hotels for this proposed 6th park! :)

A couple of suggestions: make Virgin Megastore the worl'd buggest music store (Virgin Times Square has about 120,000 sf)
ADD AN EARL OF SANDWICH!!!! that place has the world's BEST sandwiches (sorry Potbelly's!)
Otherwise, very good.

Just a suggestion: I see you have the Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. They aren't owned by Disney of course, and I would doubt that they would enter a partnership with them. How about creating an original dinner show? It could be based upon medieval times, or even a western-period dinner show would work. Characters can be used as well.

I concur! I was amazed at how good the sandwiches are when I had lunch there a couple weeks ago. YUMMY! I highly recommend the Hawaiian BBQ sandwich.
