6 day base ticket, 2 day hopper

Hi everyone, I'm hoping this is right forum. My question is magic band related.
We have purchased a 6 day base ticket/resort package for our upcoming trip. My husband and another family member were able to get us 2 days of park hopper passes through their work. I have successfully linked the hoppers to our accounts using the My Disney Experience website. So total, we have 8 days of park tickets. My question is, will our magic bands automatically save the hopper tickets for the days we want to use them? So if we only visit one park per day for the first 4 days, and then hop on the 5th day, will our bands automatically use the hopper ticket on the correct day? I want to link all the tickets so I can choose FPs, if I do not link the 2 hopper passes, I will only be able to choose 6 days of FPs using our 6 day base tickets.
Thank you!

I'm not sure how you designate which ticket gets used which day. It won't automatically default to the right ticket. I would call MDE and ask.

Ok thanks. I do have paper tickets for the 2 days of hopping, however like I said, if I don't link them I won't be able to make FPs ahead of time. And actually, I don't even know what days we will use them. Some days we might stay at the hotel after nap, some days we might go back to same park, and some days we might hop to a different park. We will have to play it by ear based on our 3 year old. You would think your band would be able to recognize the hopping days. So if you don't hop on day one, it would carry that ticket over to the next day, and so on.

Sadly, no. Whichever ticket it uses to enter the first park of the day is the one it will use all of that day. If it's a Hopper and you don't hop, you've wasted the Hopper. If it's not a Hopper you won't be able to hop. That's why I suggested calling.

Playing by ear won't work, you will have to choose which ticket to use at the start of your day and you'll be stuck with that choice.

It would have been better to just buy one 8-day ticket with Hopper. It doesn't cost any more to add hopper to an 8-day than a 2-day, and the 8-day would be cheaper than the two tickets you got.

EDIT to add: If possible, your best bet would be to combine the tickets into single tickets if they'll let you (I am not sure it can be done), you'd actually get a substantial refund.

Thank you, I will call and see what I can find out.
We only purchased a 6 day base ticket. The two days of hoppers were free through family members (hubs works for ABC, another family member works for ESPN)

I think there are two ways to go about this...

1) Guest Services may be able to assign a priority on what order the tickets are used, but that priority would have to be changed around multiple times based on which ticket you want to use on any given day.

2) On the days you want to use the Hopper tickets, if you use the physical ticket to enter the park (and any subsequent park you hop to that day) it should force the system to use that specific ticket for entry to the parks that day. After that you should be able to use your MagicBand for things like FastPass+ usage.
