Well - we arrived at around 11am and checked into the Sheraton Anahiem. For $75, you really couldn't beat the beautiful room. We were upgraded for free to a pool room on the ground floor (meaning you had a door that lead right out to the pool area). They had a couple lovely Kio ponds as well. :) My only recommendation is to take your own car to and from the parks. The shuttles are late and often too crowded to fit everyone on.

Now, it's Father's day and crowded. My hubby and I started touring in DCA. We checked the tip board. 30 minute line for California Screamin, 50 minutes for ToT (yes folks, it's FINALLY drawing a crowd). So we got a fast pass for ToT and walked around paradise peir, looking around and trying some of the other smaller attractions there. We found the Flying Zephire to have no line and was VERY relaxing! We only wish it was a little longer! It's a great ride for those who don't get sick from spinning in circles. We got a soft serve ice cream and went through the Tortilla Factory tour. The last time I was in there, there was no video being shown. This one was cute, 3 children's reports on the history of the tortilla. Except for the little caucasian boy (who seemed almost disrespectful to me- and yes, I'm caucasian, so it's not a race issue), it was cute and gave us a few chuckles. Oddly enough though, they gave you a fresh warm FLOUR tortilla when it was all over. :) We had lunch at Tortilla Joe's and this time sat in side. We both had a margarita (mine was blended with 1800 Reposado tequlia, DH's was 1800 Anejo tequlia). They were wonderful! :) We also shared the Masa boat appetizer (wonderful and spicy), and a house salad with thier vinegrette (wonderful). We just love this place! Our waitress (Sarah) was great and very knowledgable with wonderful recommendations (though I doubt anything on thier menue is bad).

We relaxed back at the hotel before heading back for the evening. We rode ToT and then headed into Disneyland for the night. While the evening parades were kicking into gear, we got on Big Thunder (which my DH hadn't been on at night before - and he loved), the Matterhorn, the Storybook Land canal boats (where a woman took flash pictures the whole time), and It's a Small World. We watched the fireworks just outside the gift shop. I did like the old display better, but fireworks hold a special place in my heart and have a history between me and my husband...so you know they got me all misty-eyed anyway! LOL For a late dinner, we went to the Rainforest Cafe, ordering Rainbow Coladas (I would rather have had a margarita from Tortilla Joe's, but they were okay) and splitting the Appetizer chicken pita quesadilla (which was okay) and the buffalo wings (which weren't). Both of us left with a small stomach ache - vowing never to go back and "experiement" there and just stick with a simple salad or something.

The next day, we went on It's Tough to Be a Bug, Pirates of the Carribean, Indiana Jones, Big Thunder (daylight hours this time), Soarin' over California. We stopped and tried a couple burgers from that place beside Soarin' (I can't remember the name at the moment). Since I only eat burgers once a year or so, I thought they were rather good! The fries were great. We returned to Disneyland and were surprised to see the line for Snow White The Musical spread deep into Toontown and it was an hour before show time! So we cooled our jets, sitting in the shade, until 15 minutes before show time, where we added ourselves to the line and had no trouble finding good seats. The theater was packed though by the time the end of the line came over! We enjoyed what looked like a german chocolate brownie as we waited for the show to start.

As for the show itself, it was VERY well done! I'm in theater and know how hard those shows are to put together! I SINCERELY must disagree with the review on mouseears. I hope they expand the show and take it to Broadway. Patrick Stewart as the Mirror was perfect and the woman who played the queen was wonderful. As for Snow White and the Prince, well, their reletionship (unlike in the film) seemed more "real" to me. Maybe it's because they talk to each other more! :) The gal who played Snow White did a great job as well (her voice isn't as grating as the gal on the film, and the dialoge isn't like one hour long nursery rhyme). Go see it. odds are you will find SOMETHING to enjoy about it- if only getting off your feet for 35+ minutes.

And then we headed home. So we weren't exactly "commandos", but that's the beauty of having annual passes! :)

Sounds like you really had fun!

You mean, Golden Zephyr isn't permanently closed due to high winds? It sure is every time I walk by!

I did like Snow White, although not nearly as much as Aladdin. They spend too much time on the fluff in the middle and not enough on the main plot. And the animals are just... well... kinda creepy! But the costumes, sets, acting - all that I loved! I really loved Snow White's voice, too. If they were to put out a CD for this one as they did for Aladdin, I'd be up there ASAP to buy it.

Man, now I want a margarita... The one kind of alcohol I DON'T have in my apartment.

Hey, you stayed at the Sherton Anaheim? I stayed there on my last trip too! Its kinda neat isn't it?
It was pretty neat. Very nice for $75 a night! My only compliant was the shuttle, and, oh yeah - the forgot to tell us that our door that goes straight out to the pool won't le you back in even with your key due to "security purposes", so my hubby and I had to walk through the lobby, in wet swim suits, and get them to call security and let us back in our room (since we safety locked the main door INSIDE the building).
