50th Announcement date released

Just read on another site that Disney will announce its plans for Disneyland's 50th anniversary on May 5, 2004, the same date as the grand opening of the Tower of Terror. Can't wait to hear the plans!

Yay! I hope it's for real this time! I know originally i think it was supposed to be sometime this month, but they pushed it back... as long as they're taking the time to make sure they really do it right, they can take all the time they need!

May 5 would be a perfect day to do it, though. They'll already have the media attention and everything.

From what I understand, it will be exactly one year away from the start of the 50th celebration on 5/5/05.

Yes i heard that new DL president Matt Ouimet pushed back the date due to the very underwhelming plans that former pres Cynthia Harris had cooked up. Hopefully this will lead to a little more than just a new buzz lightyear ride.
