5 Challenging Problems For Disney To Solve

If the article is an accurate reflection of what Disney corporate thinks, then with respect to the parks, I think it shows that they're tenaciously tone-deaf about why attendance has been down.

There may be a tourism slump, but the bigger issue is park management's stubborn adherence to new and overly complicated touring barriers, and nickel-and-dime tactics, that guests (both old and new) largely hate, and which are driving them away, or causing them to visit less often.

I agree with all of this. We have just a couple months left on our AP's, will not renew and not sure if we will visit before they do. With the price of those AP's, I cannot justify all the upcharges and will not pay extra for what used to be included. We also pay too much for cable and will not pay for anything that has a + behind it. Not mad or sad, just sayin

Agree completely.

Since COVID, Disney has all but destroyed the once great guest experience in Florida! I hope Disney stock continues to falter until they realize what they have destroyed and take steps specifically to improve the guest experience and not just revenue.

Revenue hast to take a dive before they will even consider looking at anything with regards to guest experience.

5 things
1. No new resorts in 20 yrs stop with the DVC construction eye sores.
2. Stop the never ending price hikes and nickel and dime practices
3. Bring the Monorail up to todays technology
4. Increase preventative maintenance, off line attractions are way to frequent now
5. Stop your selective woke practices --- it just alienates a large percentage of your fan base.

could add a lot more OP only wanted 5

5 things....
1. Iger. Never should have returned. Other options should have been searched out. Now we are stuck with nothing original.
2. Technology that connects/ works when booking and then traversing the parks. Nothing is reliable.
3. A better plan for crowd distribution and flow. Something that doesnt require a further outlay of cash. Too many guests wanting the same attractions, dining spots, shows that create jams and backups. Dump the need for virtual queue bookings.
4. A variety of merch across the shops on property. Shops full of same merch from place to place. Very little uniqueness.
5. Utilize CM's better. Return to better guest interactions. Have more in the park entertainment.

Spectro Magic or MSEP :)

The value proposition keeps declining - - - pay more / pay more to get the same experience is finally shooting them in the feet.
This is not rocket science - - - they did it before, they can do it again.
Sometimes you need to spend money to make money.
They were once the pinnacle of customer service and guest experiences.

Damn I really miss those parades:mad:

Yes they were once the pinnacle of service so what has changed any CMs chime in

IMO
Disney has stuck to its low wage policy for CMs
Disney is no longer selective as to who they hire----will hire anyone who is breathing and will work for those wages
CM training is not what it used to be (guest are the most important Disney asset)
Staff reduction for the sake of saving a buck
Lack of opportunity to advance in the lower rank workers
Disney management just doesn't care

Low wage at WDW, try other places . During the recent Walgreens pharmacy walk out , a pharmacy tech that fills customer prescriptions walked off her job of 39 years in PA currently making $19.16 per hour. With the new contract entry level no exp incoming cast start at $20 per hour. An MCO TSA employee makes $18 per hour.
