Does anyone have any info on future water parks that have been rumoured?

A while back I read about a "Ragin' Cajun" park but it doesn't seem to have gone anywhere.

So can anyone update this?

Disney Water Parks are ten times better than any other Florida water parks--so if Disney builds more of its own, the other ones go out of business and give people even less of a reason to leave the property.

Happy Easter !

If Disney plans to build a new water park their stupid. Its obvious that they arent making a cent off of river country and have no money or reason to build a new one.

opened a few years back. It has two enclosed tube speed slides. First you dive, then the tube evens out, you come out of the enclosed portion through a waterfall, and dive down again in an unenclosed portion. You go very fast, hit the pool, and FLY. They used to time both sides to see who was the "winner", but last time I went, the timers were broken...hope they fixed them.

That would work since they are making a wide world of sports resort area. Pop Century is the first, so expect there to be a lot more resorts near WWOS. Also expect that to be the location of the next theme park, whenever that happens. Then they can change the name of the area from WWOS to the new theme park area.

Happy easter back at ya :)

Actually it would be good strategy. The reason River country is the chosen water park to close is capacity, not that water parks in general aren't working. It's the smallest and therefore the lowest attendence, so the easisest to close while still having two other ones serve the purpose.

Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are almost always filled to capacity by noon during peak times.

I've heard a new water park will probably superceed any 5th theme park, they are a lower investment. Disney has learned a lot how to make better water parks then River Country, since it opened.

Kind of like when Discovery Island closed, it wasn't the idea of an animal park was bad, or they never would have opened Animal Kingdom. It was just that that too was to small of capacity.

River Country is probably the most charming of all three parks, so I'm wondering if the rumor to make it exclusive to Wilderness Lodge guests will ever prove to be true.

I'd bet money a new water park, will be the next major addition at WDW, outside of changes at exisitng parks.
