45 days out! What happens?

45 days to go!
I a trying to book a second room at AOA LM.
I was told I had a good chance at the 45 day mark in case people have to cancel/don't pay.
So my question is...what happens if someone doesn't pay their balance today?
Do the rooms just open back up online at midnight? (in which case I will be staying up)
Or does Disney give guests a few days to pay up?

They have 2 weeks before they really auto cancel.

They can also call and get extra time. I would just be calling like every day and check on openings.

I have never heard anything about this, every time I book a trip, I am told that my balance is due at check in...so is that not the case?

I have a deadline for my trip. Maybe the deadline is just for packages. I booked room, tickets, and dining plan all in one.

That's for room only, package balance is due 45 days before travel.
