Hey everyone!

I was wondering if anyone has any information about the Cave of Wonders slide at DisneyQuest? I remember it being there the first time I went, but by the second time it had been removed. Was there a specific reason they got rid of it? It seems like it would be something cheap and easy they wouldn't have much bother with..?

Could anybody shed some light on this?

lol, copied and pasted from wikipedia:

Removed attractions

  • The corkscrew "Cave of Wonders Slide", 150 feet (46m) long, took guests from the third floor to the first. It was closed in DisneyQuest's first year of operation.

It was just a regular slide...I guess a faster way to get from the 3rd floor to the first? the exit was right next to the queue where Pirates is. For the longest time (almost 3 or 4 years) there were just large hatches covering the entrance and exit (picture an airtight submarine hatch).

As for why they closed it...no idea.

But then again why did they get rid of Treasure of the Incas? That was the coolest attraction there... :fork:

I heard the reason they got rid of that (Treasure of the Incas) was because modern cellphones and other wireless handheld devices were interfering with the cars and making them unusable.

I even heard somewhere that one of the cars set on fire?? But I haven't seen that verified.
