40th birthday - BOG or 'Ohana

DH and I are planning to surprise the kids with a trip to WDW the same weekend as my 40th birthday in December. We've already decided to take them to BOG and 'Ohana provided we can get ADRs. At this point both restaurants are unknown to us, but we hope to get an ADR to BOG for our adult only trip in October. So, which restaurant would be a better place to celebrate my actual birthday? I have thought a bit about having a custom cake made but haven't decided for sure yet.

Thanks!

Oooo...tough choice! Both restaurants are very good but I would choose Be Our Guest. BOG is just magical and would be a fun place to celebrate on your actual birthday! 'Ohana is great too so if you can't get BOG reservations on your birthday, I think it would be a very nice back up choice.

I would go with 'Ohana. I just get a more celebratory vibe there...although both are great options. I'm also checking on cakes at BoG. Up until recently, custom cakes were not an option at BoG, but it sounds like they may have worked out the kinks with the Contemporary bakery. The GF would cover your cake if you do it at 'Ohana.

I would suggest going to Ohana for your 40th birthday dinner! It's so much fun there. BOG is great too, but it's not the atmosphere I'd want for a birthday dinner. I'd recommend eating there a different night though. Good luck with your ADRs and have fun! :)

Well, I would snag a BOG ressie ASAP!:)
'Ohana is my fave, but mostly because of the potstickers and shrimp! Fun atmosphere too!:)
Why not just do both?:D

We are going to do both, I'm just trying to decide which one for my actual birthday. We're also going to go to Chef Mickey's for breakfast the morning we leave. That's DD's absolute favorite :)
