I am going to WDW for the 2nd time in March, and it is my wife's first trip. Any online links to itinerary suggestions as far was what rides to go to first, etc? I am visiting and Animal Kingdom until noon on Sunday, MGM studios on a Monday, Magic Kingdom on Tuesday, EPCOT on a Wednesday until 3:30pm. Thanks for any of your suggestions or links.

I am not sure of any internet sites, but I do know of a great book that features a pull out section in the back for planning your days. It is The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2003 by Bob Sehlinger. The pull out section has maps and ideas for planning out your day, such as lunch ideas and how to work around the parades. It is really helpful, especially to newbies like yourself (and your wife!), and it also has tips from other readers. It is rather innexpensive, about $12.00, but trust me, you will not put it down, if not only for the funny reader comments and tips!

I have gone on many 3-4 day trips and all I can say is Park Hop!! Spend the morning at Epcot then head over to MGM for dinner some rides and the evening show if you want! Plan for not a lot of pool time if you want more time in the parks though. That's the only prob with these kind of trips because you don't get to just sit and relax as much.

Hi and congratulations on your trip! Your wife is very lucky!

We did the 4 parks-4days trip the first time we went to Disney, too. It can work and can be lots of fun. We also started with Animal Kingdom on the first day, and ended with Epcot on the last day (it meant that we missed Illuminations, but it gave us a good reason to go back!) Animal Kingdom is a good way to ease into the vacation, since there is not as much that you "have" to do there--going in the morning is a good idea.

This can be done, and it is alot of fun. I would suggest 2 things:
1) the Unofficial guides are great, and they gave us really good suggestions for doing as much as possible in the short time we were there. The best strategy is to hit the parks early, try to do the big rides before the lines get too long, and use fastpass in the afternoon. It's up to you to decide what to do first, and you can check out most of the attractions on the official disney world website at

www.disneyworld.com

2) understand that you aren't going to be able to do everything---its just not possible, and decide what you REALLY want to do, and focus on that. Here's where the guides really help.

Also, for your wife, focus on doing some of the "Fun" things---try to meet the characters at a character breakfast, or plan a fun dinner in one of the really good restaurants in the park. Use the priority seating, as it saves standing around for huge amounts of time waiting for a table. You may still have to wait, but it won't be for such a huge amount of time. Stay at MK for the fireworks and/or MGM for Fantasmic, since you'll miss the show at Epcot.

There's lots more, but these are the basics. Let me know if I can help in any other way!

Firstly - welcome to the boards.
Secondly - as already mentioned - get a copy of the Unofficial Guide - its about the best guide book going. Read it THOROUGHLY before you go, use it to plan your trip, and, use the itineries at the back as a guide to seeing and doing the most while in and around the parks.
Enjoy.
