4/4 Universal Orlando Photo Update

Went to the parks yesterday....had a great time. IoA was pretty busy but USF was manageable.

Mardi Gras has been extended until April 30th.

Something is going up here....

The former home of All-Star Collectibles.

Mardi Gras merchandise was available all around the park.

Universal Express has returned to Shrek 4-D.

Mardi Gras stage.

Mardi Gras food booths.

This sign was recently refurbished.

The Ghostbusters are no more.

There were a couple wait times signs added around the park....

Fear Factor Live construction.

This sign was also recently refurbished.

E.T. was ready for Mardi Gras. :lol:

A construction wall at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Wait times at noon.

The diamonds have returned to the launch tunnel of the Incredible Hulk Coaster.

A cheerleading competition was going on at the theater.

The hat has returned!

The Explorer has made its way to JP....

....as has the T-Rex himself.

I haven't seen this wait time since HHN!

The queue has been extended.

I don't even want to know the wait time when that queue is used. :lol:

The pre-show room is a bit different.

This second theater is much better than the first one. The motion seats are smoother, there are more lighting effects, and the picture is much clearer. If I am ever directed to the first theater again I will get out of line. :lol:

How are they doing the 2nd theater over at Shrek 4-D? Are they making one of them for Express? Or does the standby line split at one point? Or do they just alternate theaters when you get to the front of the line?

They were directing EP holders to the 1st theater and everyone else to the 2nd theater.

Great update! Islands of Adventure was so much more crowded than it was supposed to be, I should know because I was working and was slammed by all the people! I think the wait times will be drastically reduced starting today, the cheerleading compitition made ioa more crowded

both parks were hammered last week. we stopped in for a Mummy fix last Sun. at 5:00 and Shrek had a 10 min. wait. we actually walked right into the pre-show. It wasn't until we walked into the second theater that it all clicked. the rest of the week I never saw it over 40 minutes, while Jimmy hit 90 min. it's a great move on UO's part.

Since I'm not a local, nor a regular to Universal, can you please tell me how to tell which is theater #1, and which is theater #2?

The entrance into theater #1 is on the front side of the building and the entrance into theater #2 is at the back of the building.
