3yr old in a Party of Five

My friend has three children, one under 3yo. In planning their trip what rooms would be available for 5? I'm thinking AOA and PORS Alligator Bayou. Any others? Also, since the youngest is under 3 do they include her in the count for the room reservation? She won't really need a separate bed and using 4 instead of 5 would open up a lot of other room options. I know they include her in dining reservations. I've also seen on other threads that an MB will most likely be issued. Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Depends on how old she is when u say under 3? Is the child an infant? If it's an infant I'm 99.9% positive u can still stay in a room for 4 and have the baby in a pack n play. If she's older than that, then include her in the reservation. And yes, the child will get a MB as long as she isn't an infant. My 2 year old got a band for our trip in Nov. He loves wearig it most of the time...

A child under the age of 3 who will sleep in a portacrib can stay in any room where the maximum occupancy is 4 (so All Stars and POP for example.) If the family would like a larger room, PORS sleeps 5 and many of the Deluxe resorts sleep 5 (CR, Poly, GF, Beach Club.) And there are the "family suites" in All Star Music and AoA.

So when booking online would she be included in the room reservation to stay in a room with the max occupancy of 4? Maybe booking over the phone would work best. Thanks.

i have many times had success booking a room for four and listing a fifth as being under three. but disney website being disney website, at times it won't accept the reservation and I have had to call
simply try and book it if you want to online and if not, call. as far as i know, all rooms allow one child under three over the published number of people per room.

I think when we've done this in the past, they wanted our little guy listed on the reservation but didn't really "count"...I believe they only ding you for extra adults. That being said, the porta crib worked better for him on our October trip (where he just turned 3) and is a lot nicer than the pack-n-plays. I would suggest your friends request one in advance if that's the way they want to go and then verify at check in to avoid any late evening hassles.
