Yes it is that time again, Disney Pix has been alive and kicking for 4 years now. I have a lot of plans for the coming year so stay tuned.

This update has 306 pictures and 84 minutes of video.

I will start with the pictures, these shots were taken in July 2000 with a 1MB digital camera so some of the quality suffers a bit but I feel the pictures are well worth seeing. Some of the good shots include the half demolished Horizons Pavilion and Conservation Station. Included in the update are Future World, Hollywood Boulevard, Mickey Avenue, New York Street, Sunset Boulevard, Africa, Discovery Island, The Oasis, Conservation Station (Rafiki's Planet Watch), Caribbean Beach Resort, Bus Transportation, Chip & Dale, Mickey Mouse and Green Army Man.

I have also added another section detailing the Pana-Vue Slides that Disney sold throughout the parks. This update includes 189 from the Disneyland Resort that has some really great shots of extinct attractions and views of the park from the early years (no railings around the Rivers of America). I also have 200+ slides from Disney World which I will be uploaded as soon as I get the sorted out.

In the video section I have started something new, I have started posting Television Series that go to Disney World. So far I have posted Full House and Step by Step each with 2 episodes with a total of 84 minutes of video.

With this update we now have 8324 pictures and 5 hours 54 minutes of video online.

Here are a few samples:

It was called "America Sings" and took the place of the Carousel Of Progress.

America Sings was held in the Carousel Theater in Tomorrowland at Disneyland from 29th June 1974 until 10th April 1988.
The show, held in the theater that was originally built to house the Carousel of Progress was narrated by Sam the Eagle, with interruptions by a weasel character, and featured over 100 Audio Animatronic characters from American popular music in a sequence of four scenes, each of which had its roots in a different era.

Since the show was held in the old Carousel of Progress theater, the audience moved around the four-stage show.

Following its demise, many of the Audio Animatronics were moved to other areas of the park, notably to become part of Splash Mountain in Critter Country.
