For the young ones on the flight, I would reccommend no naps before the flight. That way they will sleep on the flight, hopefully. Also bring plenty of snacks for them and maybe a DVD player. Although they may be a little young for DVD's, our DD1 sat on my wife's lap and watched our DS5's dvd player for at least an hour. We even gave her her own headphones. Then for the newbies, go at their pace and do what they would like to do. Good luck and have fun.

I'm not sure if this would be of any interest to you - I'm an AP holder and you only go every few years - but the last time I brought newbies to the parks, I took the role of "runner", taking everyone's tickets and running around getting FPs while everyone else rode the attractions. I and the other passholders also used our tickets to get FPs for attractions we didn't necessarily need to ride again, so the newbies could do as much as possible.

Of course, our circumstances were different. Besides being passholders, we were doing just one day in the parks out of a week plus of vacation, so the "togetherness" we lost was outweighed by giving the newbies the best experience possible (and the best bang for the considerable bucks they spent on a one-day one-park ticket).

For the Universal days, I would strongly consider the Express Pass add-on that you can buy for your tickets. I've never done it myself, but others on these boards have raved about it - and I can tell you that in my (admittedly limited) experience, you'll get to do almost nothing without it unless those parks are pretty dead.
