30 day mark coming up soon; what should I be focusing on?

Title pretty much says it all. I hit the 30 day mark this Saturday, and now have my plane tickets and resort package paid for; ADRs made at 60 days out, and have a pretty solid plan of how to go about each day (thanks to everyone who has helped). Maybe it's just Disney brain, but I feel like I should be planning or doing something else for the trip. Any tips on what to pay attention to with one month left?

I never stop the planning, so at one month out I'm looking through my itinerary to see if any tweaking of my plans are needed. Jump on a variety of sites to see if I'm missing something I might want to add onto the trip. Make sure my rewards card has points ready. Check on how many gift cards I have, take a look at finances and make sure I am bringing enough cash. See what attractions may be down for refurb. Start checking weather forecasts. Check dining menus to see if there are changes. Recheck how best to use virtual queues, genie and LL so I’m familiar with the process.
As time gets even closer... Contact my Visa card to say Im using my cards out of state. Stop mail and paper delivery. Check prescriptions to make sure Ive got enough on hand. Have a plan for someone watching my property. Start the packing process.

I start going over my packing list. I also usually put things aside in a bin I have specially for my WDW trips--things like Minnie Ears (that's an undertaking as I have so many that I have to choose which lucky pair goes with, always knowing I'm going to buy some new ones)🤣 I check that I have all the items I need to keep me cool (cooling towel, neck fan, UV umbrella, etc). I also start making a list of grocery items I'll have delivered to the resort. I generally am focused on the packing phase at 30 days out. Let us know how the trip goes and how your niece reacts to her "surprise"!

I’m one of those people who needs a physical packing list to check off, so I usually start working on that a month or so out. I’ll plan out outfits for each day, and start setting aside clothes I know I’m going to bring on the trip as I’m doing laundry in the weeks preceding the trip. A couple weeks out, I’ll go through travel-sized toiletries and see what needs to be replenished. Since we usually get the dining plan or use gift cards to pay for meals, I go through menus for the table service restaurants to estimate how much we’ll probably spend, and therefore, how much cash to bring for tips. I’ll also pull out cash for Mousekeeping tips, and put it in an envelope for each day.

I'm the exact same way with needing a physical check list; it just helps me keep track of things better, and then I'm not second guessing myself. I also always forget to take out cash until the last minute, so special thank you for that reminder; one less reason to run around like a chicken without a head the night before!

And round about now, start checking the park hours for changes - they often update about 3 weeks out.

This thread is a good start:

Usually we check our ADR's and the menus of our restaurants to make sure nothing has changed or if they added anything that we HAVE to try. AccuWeather usually has forecasts 45 days out. Since we drive Floridia 511 is a go to for construction updates. Since we go every year, we have our "Disney Travel Bags", we check the contents and see if anything needs replaced or upgraded, Meds, toiletry's, ponchos, phone chargers, firestick, etc. The last 30 days just " DRAG ON FOREVER". Have fun and be safe!!!
