 Yes! Thats the new price for the Kitchen Sink. The famous dessert at WDW. This must be the most expensive sweet in Disney, but is it worth that price.? Now Ive never had it so I can't judge here, but Ive had the " Volcano " at Rainforest Cafe and we shared it between three of us.So today I'am wondering what has been your most expensive dessert at Disney.? And also for those who have had the Kitchen Sink, was it more of a challenge than a thing of beauty and pleasure.?;)

You know Hatter... We have had as many as 7 people eating a KS and still had leftovers... in that case only about 4.00 a person... not bad... :) Personally no matter how many people we have we still have a soupy mess in the bottom... I would definitely recommend purchasing a couple of there other 7.00 ice cream desserts and get a spoon and share... :)

$28.99 is crazy to a person who doesn't eat refined sugar, but it can feed 4 people. How many of us have paid $10 for 1 drink!o_O

I agree. The margaritas at La Cava are fifteen dollars a piece or close to that! Also, poolside, the frozen drinks are 8 or 9 a piece.

I cannot think of a large or overpriced dessert we have had in Disney. I know it is just a lot of dessert when the family is on the dining plan. Verges on embarrassing!

My kids want to try to conquer this. Me, not so much. And it is because of the soggy mess I'm sure would show up. I wouldn't mind splitting a No Way Jose, though. That looks huge enough to me!

We, DS,DW and I, (not the royal we) ordered a kitchen sink once as part of our Disney "Bucket List," the 3 of us couldn't finish it. We had a BBQ recently with 4 people, DW, DS, sister-in-law and myself, I went down the street to our local ice cream shop for sundaes for dessert. It came to $25.00 so the price of a kitchen sink is not as bad as it first appears.

Unless we were doing it for novelty purposes or bucket list type thing, I wouldn't spend it. DH, DD4 and I wound up sharing the Fudge Mud Slide sundae last time we were there so I can't even begin how much we'd waste with a full Kitchen Sink.

Now a $28.99 drink? That I might try if it sounds good! I know I could finish that! ;)

The Kitchen Sink is probably the one thing, I can bet, I will never try. I would wind up having more than 2/3 of it thrown away. Alot of the cocktails at Disney are very steep, price wise, but atleast that won't be thrown out LOL

Considering ALL that goes into it, I'm not surprised at the price. One Large Sundae at my local ice cream parlor costs $3.00. Thats only 3 scoops of ice cream, little drizzle of 2 toppings, no cake, no brownie, no cookies, etc.
  • ½ cup butterscotch topping, warmed
  • ½ cup peanut butter topping, warmed
  • 1 medium banana, sliced in 1/2 –inch slices
  • 1 cinnamon spice cupcake (2 ½ x 1 ¼-inch), quartered
  • 1 angel food cupcake (3 x 1 ½-inch), quartered
  • 2 4-oz. scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 2 4-oz. scoops chocolate ice cream
  • 2 4-oz. scoops strawberry ice cream
  • 1 4-oz. scoop mint chocolate chip ice cream
  • 1 4-oz. scoop coffee ice cream
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • ¼ cup marshmallow crème
  • ¼ cup strawberry topping
  • ¼ cup pineapple topping
  • 1 14-oz can dairy whipped topping
  • 1 brownie (6-inch x 6-inch), quartered
  • 1 regular-sized (2 ounce) candy bar, quartered
  • 4 chocolate cookies with cream filling
  • 1 tablespoon sliced toasted almonds
  • 1 tablespoon dark and white chocolate shavings
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate cookies with cream filling, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon chopped jellied orange slices (approximately 2 large slices)
  • 1 tablespoon milk chocolate chip morsels
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter chip morsels
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate sprinkles
  • 1 tablespoon rainbow sprinkles
  • ½ cup drained maraschino cherries
  • ½ cup fudge topping, warmed
But many of the menu choices at the Disney restaurant is inflated. Why not the KS? I've had meals at Disney that has been that expensive and hadn't nearly filled me up.
