24 Hour Event part of the cuts?

I haven't heard anything but was just wondering, since the last leap year there was a 24 hour event a lot of people figured there'd be one this year, I know the 24 hour events have been on Memorial Day weekend for the past couple years. But is it possible that the event is part of the cuts?

So how positive are we that this 24 hr event is in place for this year aka 2016? I think we are a go it makes sense as this the event that cost to operate and hopefully that expanded that to the cm's.

Hard to say. I wouldn't think events are on the chopping block, they are just tightening the best where possible, anything that makes Disney money should stay put. Maybe they'll restructure and call it an all nighter or something till like 3 or 4am??

While I’m 50/50 on there being a 24hr event this year, I’d guess they’d rather they not have one. It’s an operational nightmare on top of an already busy holiday weekend. I've been to 3 of the 4 and they are fun but I can’t imagine that they make sense from any kind of standpoint.

I may have to rescind my 50/50 guess.

I was curiously checking May 27th and while the park hours are regular I noticed the FoF parade had a time listed at Noon (but not 3?). This could be the sign of an upcoming schedule change, which would match the Noon and 3PM FoF last year for the 24hr event.

It's getting close to the wire for this event. I'm still holding out hope for it yet. But, if not, I plan on being there instead on Sat May 28th from 30 mins prior to opening, until they kick us out at about 1 hour after close.

*** Edit *** I may go on Friday as usual, just depends on if I want to use up a vacation day from work or not. If the 24 event doesn't happen.

Ok. Boys and girls. I hope I am wrong but this is what I just found on Twitter. This is from Disneyland's Official In-Park Twitter account to another users question about the 2016 24 he event. I assume that this will be the same for WDW also.

I hope that this can be changed since this is the only official word I have been able to find anywhere. I'm not counting the numerous fan sites that say it is canceled for this reason or that. I'm talking official from Disney. There is nothing on their website, nothing on their Disney parks blog site. I am hoping that this is so they can make a last minute change in our favor. Below I have included a screen shot of the Disney Twitter response so you can see it for yourself.
