20k Lagoon Area Updates??

About a month ago, certain people claimed they had information on what was going into the area.

I still haven't heard anything.

Well, i believe it will continue to contain water and possibly expanded into Disney's first ever Meet-N-Greet where You can rent a scuba tank for 50 bucks and swim down to meet your favorite Disney character..... :hammer: :lol:

I have some sketchy info that I can't put out yet. I will say that what I'm hearing is not at all what I was hoping was going to happen.

But, as I said, it's not real solid info at the moment.

I was under the impression that the Lagoon was somewhat unstable now from the years of operating the ride and that they are now afraid to do anything with it because it could cause the lagoon to burst and flood the utilidor. Is this still the case?

They should make it a bumper boat ride and call it Pocahantas's canoes. That would be fun and would be possible. It wont involve a track under it or anything.:sohappy: The dock is already there and there is already a que line. It would be a possible option.

I say they just build a version of Tokyo DisneySea's Aquatopia and get rid of the tomorrowland speedway to make way for a whole new land. But that's just me.

Hey now, back off the Speedway.

My 10 year old would've ridden it non stop from the time we got to WDW til the day we left if I had let him. The speedway was my favorite thing when I was little and still is and now it is my sons favorite. I tell you what though....it sure taught me to dread drivers training. My 10 year old is a terrible driver.

The lagoon water is so clear compared to other water areas in the MK. I agree it is wasted space and a huge loss of a great attraction, but something needs to be done there.
