There is something to keep an eye on. Jimmie Johnson said the 2027 Daytona 500 will be his last cup race as a driver.
Jimmie though is not closing the door to race in lower levels in NASCAR or in different series in 2027 after next years Daytona 500.

Alex Bowman is not racing at Phoenix due to he was diagnosed with vertigo.
Anthony Alfredo will fill in for Alex.

NASCAR truck series driver Daniel Dye has been suspended by NASCAR and Kaulig Racing indefinitely due to comments he made about Indycar driver David Malukas on social media.
I can't really go into details here, but all I can say is he did said stuff that he shouldn't have and had no idea what he was talking about.
Daniel Dye did apologize, but it was the "I'm sorry, but not really sorry" type of apology
. Also Daniel Dye had an anti-bullying sponsorship.
This is now Daniel Dye's 2nd major penalty of his racing career. His first penalty was for being arrested in high school 4 years ago for punching another student in the groin.

I have another update and its not good. Alex is not going to run at least the next 3 races due to vertigo. Justin Allgaier will be filling in for all 3 races.
