2015 Shareholders Meeting: Game Thread

We did this back in 2013 and thought it was enjoyable.

A regular occurence on Sports Message boards are game threads where contributors follow along with the game providing their own commentary. Something similar can work for a Disney Shareholder's meeting...

We can take bets on the "major announcements"? I'm guessing it will be the movie news that has trickled out lately (Tron 3, live action Dumbo). Maybe something on the Diamond celebration at Disneyland, but I would anticipate all parks and resorts announcements of new attractions would be at the D23 Expo.

I've wondered the same thing. I have been to some of these meetings, and the sudden "I motion to adjourn" question that comes out of nowhere absolutely seems to be a plant. I think that's how Eisner's contentious Philadelphia meeting eventually came to an end, if I remember correctly.

As far as the bizarre questions, I think its also a case of them pre-screening the folks at the podiums. As in, let's move the lady in the Fox and the Hound sweatshirt, Disney-pin bedazzled 100 Years of Magic pack, while clinging to her Stitch plush to the front of the line.

OK, the announcement will be an announcement that there will be future announcements of major announcements. Oh and Iger will say Brand 500 times, frozen 5000 times, forget the company's founder Walt Disney and act like he is the second coming of Christ. Of course the brainless fools in the audience will worship at the feet of the Messiah, while the most ill of the ill ask to sniff his butt so they can get a whiff of the roses from his backside.

Oh I know they have been released but a stock holders meeting is about beating your chest on the things that have happened since the past meeting and then giving a plan for the next period of time.... It is more PR bs then actually anything else. Nothing that they don't want to have happen will happen in these meetings. They are scripted and set up to make sure of that.

This wouldn't surprise me. We may get, "Star Wars is coming is coming to Disneyland and Hollywood Studios, additional details will be revealed later this year."
