2014 WDW Pop Warner schedule

I've tried searching and couldn't find it. Looking at booking a trip the first week of December but am concerned about Pop Warner. Do we know when they'll be at the World in 2014? If not yet, do we know when they announce that schedule?

I am wondering how the announcement of the MLS expansion in Orlando will affect crowds. The 2014 soccer schedule (Oct-May) will be played at the ESPN Sports Complex on WDW property until the new stadium is built. Does anybody have info?

Your dates for Pop Warner should be accurate based on last year's dates. Where will you be staying?

The MLS expansion should not affect crowds in December. Their schedule runs May-October, not the other way around. I wonder why they will be playing there instead of the Citrus Bowl unless the size of the CB is too big for a soccer stadium (too many empty seats).

That should be OK. The cheerleaders stay at Caribbean Beach, and the football players stay at Pop and/or All-Stars, although I have heard they use Port Orleans and Coronado for overflow. If you have never been during Pop Warner week, here's what to expect. If they are at your resort, the food court will be crowded during breakfast, and the pool area same. You will only see little platoons of them in the parks, and they pretty much stay to themselves. I say pretty much, because there is always the very loud minority that makes the rest look bad.

But if you see something, try to get a handle on where they are from and report it to Disney. They take this stuff very seriously. The groups have a code of conduct that they must follow and Disney is not afraid to kick groups out and get the OC sheriff's office involved.

But FQ should be ok, because like I said, they use that resort for overflow.

Our trip coincided with Pop Warner last December (had no clue about it at all when we booked those dates) and I have to say, I never noticed them at all. As long as you're not staying at a resort where they will be (we stayed at Saratoga Springs which wasn't one that they used), you should be fine :)

The official resorts for Pop Warner 2014 are Disney’s All-Star Resorts, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. All participants/coaches must book a package through Disney Sports Travel and stay at these select Walt Disney World® Resort hotels.
