2013 Hotel only rates?

Anyone know when the 2013 rates are released, and available for booking? Are travel agents able to book 2013 rooms earlier than non-agents? Thanks in advance.

Well you can book the room now over the phone but the dining plan and ticket prices aren't ready to book yet. According to a cast member that I spoke to a little earlier today, around late July you should be able to book the full package online.

I'm booked for my Jan 2013 trip and right now it's still at Rack Rate (Full Non Discounted) Price..No Discounts have been announced as of yet. It's usually announced by early to mid August. I'm still waiting for the AAA Room Only discount which will knock down my remaining balance a good 20% off..

But if you call the Walt Disney Travel Company you can at least put a down payment on your room and then pay it off throughout the year..

Rack Room Rates are usually released in August. You can always book 360 days ahead, but there's a weird formula they use to figure out your deposit. Something like averaging the rack room rate for that hotel, or going with the most expensive, or something.

Anyway, you'll know for sure in August. And no, travel agents don't know the rates any sooner than Disney's reservation agents do. But both Disney and Travel Agents can book rooms up to 360 days out at any time. Disney will adjust your balance due when the new rates come out.

499 makes more sense. 360 wouldn't allow you to book "next December" if it's "this August". Don't know why I said 360.

I believe they can only book 499 days out...for instance..I want to book 2 rooms or a villa for Xmas 2013. I was told to call August 17th as thats the earliest I can book for the entire week Im there. No certainty on the villas at that time as they may not be released to even later in the year.

Joe is right and last year the new packages/rates came out in mid June.
