2012 DDP Restaurant Availability

I am thinking about using the Dining Plan during my next trip in May 2012. However, looking at the list of participating locations that except the table service meal plan at Epcot, it appears the list in 2012 is much more limited than in 2011. Does anyone know why the resturants in the World Show Case would not except the DDP and/or are not listed as taking the DDP at this time?

Disney has to negotiate and renew with the third party restaurants every year for the plan. When the original brochures are made, they often have not gotten the new contracts finalized and because of that cannot list those restaurants. I can't guarantee, but I would venture to say that the listings will remain the same from 2011.

The list will be amended numerous times between now and early January.

Next year will very likely have virtually all the current restaurants. There are no guarantees, but this question has come up every year for the last several years and the list hasn't changed significantly.

Just keep an eye on the 2012 list, it will eventually show them all. Go ahead and book based on the restaurants on the 2011 list, it's highly unlikely you'll need to change anything.

It would be nice if Landry Restaurants would get on the list. :( I'd like to add T-Rex to the DDP options but instead I have to pay out of pocket. I know it's just $80 total for the meals there but it would still be nice to have that included on the DDP.

I was just booking an ADR for Le Cellier and I noticed it is not available for the dining plan but it is for the deluxe, premium and platinum plans. I wonder why it wouldn't be available for the regular TS dining plan?

Contract negotiations. They have to negotiate each plan with the restaurants. The restaurant gets more money per person on the deluxe plan since it is more expensive. They ought to be on the Regular DDP soon.
