2011 Halloween Horror Nights..HELP!!

We are going to be in Orlando Oct.14-21 and while the majority of our trip will be in WDW we wanted to visit Universal/Islands of Adventure one of the days. My question is when Halloween Horror Nights is taking place do both parks close down or does it only take place in Universal? For example if we went on a halloween Horror Nights day would Universal close early and would we be able to still go to Islands of Adventure and enjoy our time there without any of the horror nights stuff?

It only takes place at universal(and it runs like normal until closing which if you have a pass you stay for Halloween horror nights), but the parks close usually at the same exact time so IOA will probably be closed during the time Halloween Horror Nights is going on.

I actually called Universal and they said that it's extremely unlikely that Halloween Horror Night will take place in Islands of Adventure also and that whenever Universal closes early for HHN Islands of Adventure will stay open an additional 2 hours

You can look at the hours for the last weekend of September to get an idea how late both parks are going to be open on Halloween Horror Nights. Halloween Horror Nights runs Thursdays thru Sunday Nights, and from The September schedule you can tell that on those nights Universal will be closing at 5pm, while IOA will be closing at 7pm.

It's good to know that for the people who only have one day to spend at Univ/Islands of Adventure that they keep IOA open later for people (like me) who don't want to attend HHN.
