Blooming bulbs, colorful gardens, and more than 100 topiaries will spring up during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival now through June 2.

The six-week festival, which has more new elements than ever before, also features presentations by horticultural experts plus special musical fun.

The festival is busting at the seams with new and bigger displays such as the largest Floating Gardens in festival history, Terrific Trees, Florida Dooryard Garden and Power of Flowers. For "budding" gardeners, the Kids Garden features story telling and favorite character topiaries from Disney films.

Another new highlight to this year's festival is a special tribute to Walt Disney and his contributions as a pioneer in animation. A topiary salute to 100 Years of Magic features Disney classics such as "Steamboat Willie," "Flowers and Trees," "101 Dalmatians" and "Fantasia." The year-long 100 Years of Magic celebration honors the 100th anniversary of Walt Disney's birth with new attractions and entertainment at all four theme parks.

In addition to the special topiary display, festival guests will enjoy: the Great American Gardeners Speaker Series featuring tips from experts such as Paul James, host of HGTV's "Gardening By the Yard"; award-winning displays; kid-friendly activities such as ladybug and butterfly releases; and handy horticulturists who can answer gardening questions.

The festival fun continues into the evening with the "Flower Power" concert series, which rocks with groups popular in the 60s, 70s and 80s. The schedule is as follows:

April 30-May 2 -- Eddie Money
May 3-5 -- The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie
May 6-7 -- Ron Dante of The Archies
May 8-9 -- John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band
May 10-12 -- Paul Revere & The Raiders
May 13-14 -- Gary Puckett
May 15-16 -- Rare Earth, Iron Butterfly, Sugarloaf All-Stars
May 17-20 -- Starship featuring Mickey Thomas
May 21-23 -- The Grass Roots
May 24-26 -- Arlo Guthrie
May 27-29 -- The Rock N Roll Fun House featuring The Knack
May 30-June 2 -- The Nelsons

I Love the festival, but alot of the topiaries, use plastic/silk flowers. WHATS UP WITH THAT?

Since when and which ones.

I know some of them look like it, But I have also seen it when their internal watering system comes on, and you see them start to drip, it is clear they are real flowers.

Actually, NONE of the topiary at the Festival use silk or plastic flowers (unless you count the rose that Beast holds). Other than eyes and a few props, they are all live plants.

I love the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. We are going to be there for it this year. It has been a couple of years since we have been down in May. I can't wait to see it. It is so beautiful, it is my favorite time of year to visit EPCOT.

PS - I believe that Paul James will be there during opening week. I saw a schedule of the visiting gardeners and can't recall where I saw it, if I locate it again, I will post them!!
