I really miss this ride.:( It holds a lot of memories for my husband and I. We rode it together for the first time on our honeymoon.

I really wish I could have had the chance to ride this again, I was really little when I went on it and don't really remember it...all I remember is that it was a small space for people to be in, and took a while to get in and out, but that could have been from me being really little and wanting to get to the next ride.... I will miss this great attraction....

I have this entire ride on VHS that I bought off ebay a year or so ago. I remember it scared me as a child so badly, but now knowing the "magic" behind the ride from people talking of it on this site, it's kind of cheesy!

It's still a very good ride. I can remember how disappointed I was when I showed up to WDW one time and the ride vehicles were gone and Chip and Dale were in the queue (to escape the sun) signing autographs.

It's a huge tease to know that behind that fake rock though, the ride still stands!

I think that WDW should drain that lagoon, and give a tour of how it all worked, it may be a cheesy ride (not to my standars.. ) but its amazing that the ride vehicle was submerged underwater for so long, I know that they somehow worked on them but still that was one hight tech ride of its day and age...it had hour long lines and , IDK it was just great to me.

UGH! I have a memory involving this ride!

It was our last night at WDW, and we did our last Big Thunder, and we had time for maybe two more rides that were close to eachother, about 20 mins left. 20K and Mr Toad--both walkons this late at night! We did 20K first and got stuck underwater midway b/c the system failed. So we sat there, and sat there, lights out, the air growing very HOT, and crying babies and children everywhere!! We eventually got out, but getting out was even a process. So we missed Mr Toad b/c of 20K--little did we know that on our next trip it would be closed forever. If only...

We also had system faliure when we rode it a few years ago. But then rode it again and liked it. I guess its just one of those classic rides that fade in and out with time.....

i think that the ride was spoiled a bit when you looked at it from the sky way ride that took away a lot of the mystery

i did here that one of the big factors in the close down was the imposability of adapting the ride for disabled guests and also the very slow load time
