For you fans of 20,000 Leagues the new DVD is a must. It is really well done. The color and sound is so much better then the VHS releases.(or at least it seems to be to me).

The bonus features are really cool and there a quite a few of them. The behind the scenes documentary was truly interesting. I never knew how much Disney bet the future of the company on this movie or that it was their first live action movie.

The cheapest place so far to buy it is Wal-Mart $19.99

What do you think of it (if you've purchased it already)?:)

You are so right! It's a great DVD set (2 disks). The sound (THX Dolby 5.1) is fabulous. The film was digitally remastered and it's presented in the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.55:1. It has several hours of bonus material including a featurette, "The Making of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea". I really liked the interviews with Kirk Douglas! The interviews and behind the scenes looks are worth the price.

Speaking of the price, I found it at my local Wal-Mart for $15.49 and I bought Atlantis, Milo's Return for $15.49 as well. Since I bought both there was a vendors coupon on the 20,000 Leagues DVD that gave me another $4.00 discount. Total price for both was $26.98.
