I remember riding this about ten (?) years ago. I go every year and have heard many rumors as to why it closed. First, I was told that the ride was just unpopular. I ask my mom about the lines and she remembered them as being not to long, but not "walk on". I also heard from a friendly maintenance guy that the track was in disrepair and that they would have to drain the lagoon to repair it. They could not drain the lagoon because the concrete lagoon would fall apart. So, what did actually happen? Can anyone shed any light on this subject?

Thanks!

I heard that there was a part that would break on the subs, I do not remember what it was, however the part kept breaking after a couple of days use. Disney couldn't afford to keep replacing it because it was hard to find and expensive so they closed the ride because it wasn't worth fixing an attraction that not too many people went on.
