I found an interesting (and I think heretofore undocumented) blooper in Walt Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. At 3:00 minutes into the first scene (Opening Credits/Alarming Rumours) the character Billy gets up on stage to tell his tale about the sea monster. If you look above Billy's head, you see a sign for a hardware store. Above and behind that sign, you will also see 6 high tension electric power lines! In 1868 there were no electric power lines.

Maybe they're ropes from the mast of a ship (? :veryconfu ?).

Just a guess! They ARE at a Harbor for that scene, and 2 seconds later the Matte painting by Peter Ellenshaw shows countless ships and the thousands of ropes tied to their masts.

Just speculation.

The power lines run parallel to the ground and they are in the typical "3 on one side, and 3 on the other side" configuration just as overhead power lines were run in the 1950's.

If you have the DVD (and the time) take a look and tell me what you think.
