20,000 Leagues - Plans for Site?

Just got back from the WDW and talked with several people about the 20,000 Leagues Site. Nothing will be started on the site for about 2 years. Then an E-ticket Fantasyland style attraction or attractions (ie: Snow White, Peter Pan, Pooh) will be built on the site. Possibly a "pavilion" with 2-3 attractions. Announcement by Eisner & Co. probably next summer. The project will hopefully relieve the congestion in Fantasyland. Some of the 20K site may also be used for a Toontown expansion/upgrade. More info to come as soon as my sources find out anything.

You know what would go good in 20,000 leagues spot? A not so lame(rapids in ak) water ride. based on journey to atlantis or even worse litle mermaid. it could start out above the water then drop down into like an aquarium somewhat like the old living seas ride, some aspects of a dark ride with a dark water drop(like pirates only bigger/wetter) into the lighted undersea world. this would give you a new ride with some of the old things people liked about 20,000.

My sources are a couple of friends who work in admin. at WDW. But they did add that these "plans" are only concepts right now and that nothing firm may happen for 1-2 years.

I think what you have said here is pretty much wht people expect to happen to the area. Check the other threads.

Sorry was on my high horse but have since fallen off. I was just a little peeved at all the same threads started by different people, why doesn't everyone use the search function?

I was the same when the place went SaveDisney mad and Roy Disney crazy.
