Yes
you heard it - TWO weeks. The Disney sisters from other misters are invading California for 2 weeks in October. We're planning on getting a rental car & heading up to the Disney Family Museum (or flying dunno yet?!).

We're probably going to spend at least 5 days at DL & DCA but need other advice/suggestions. I will be checking out the Explore So Cal thread but need your "expert" opinions.

Traveling will be: 4 women ages 36-72 :)

If you decide to drive between Anaheim and SF, I would take your time as there are a lot of great places to stop along the way. The central California coast is a goldmine of cool sites to see. Heading north on the 101 from LA, Santa Barbara is a wonderful city to visit. Continuing north you head into Santa Inez wine country as well as Buellton and Solvang. Solvang is highly recommended. Further north is San Luis Obispo where you can take the 1 to the coast. Morro Bay is a terrific beach town a little over half way between LA and SF and a great place to spend the night. Heading up the 1 is a must see drive with possible stops along the way at Cambria, Hearst Castle (love this place), before reaching Big Sur and Monterey. The Aquarium and Cannery Row in Monterey is terrific before taking the rest of the drive up through Santa Cruz and into SF.

Besides the WD Museum plan to spend at least a couple days in SF. It is one of the best cities in the world.

The So Cal thread has a lot of options but if you are looking for something in particular, one of us locals can answer for you.

Since you're heading up North, I would definitely suggest stopping by the Sequoia National Park, even for just an hour or two. You will marvel at how huge those trees are. The largest tree in the world, General Sherman, is located there.
