2 Week Trip - 10 Day Pass?

I will soon be planning a 2 week trip to Disney World for the summer of 2011. But it seems when booking a trip the max number of tickets one can purchase is 10 days...I know that people take 2 week trips all of the time. 2 of our days will consist of the Universal theme parks. But other than those 2 days we would still like to have the option to go to a Disney World park. So can I have days added to my ticket or do I have to buy additional tickets starting from scratch on price/days?

We had the same issue on our trip in June. We were on property 12 days in addition to our travel days. You can not add on days after 10. You have to either purchase a 2 day ticket or an annual pass. We hung out at the resort for one day and drank a bunch of free refills from our mugs and the other day we went to DTD. We were hoping for a Pirate and Princess party for one of the days with no ticket, but no party this year.....

You could also add on the Water Parks and More option and have a couple days in the water parks... Those admissions are separate from the 10 days.

An Annual Pass would be about equal to the price of a 10-day Hopper and a 2-Day Hopper. But, with the Annual Pass, you could possibly get a room discount that would save you as much (if not more) money than you'd be paying to upgrade to an AP.

You also can then purchase the Tables in Wonderland card which discounts food and drink 20% at the vast majority of reaturants, well worth it to us!

You can go on any 10 days within 14 days of first using the pass.

So is it correct that the water parks do not count as one of your 10 days?

For example:

Day One: MK (9 Days left)
Day Two: Epcot (8 Days left)
Day Three: Blizzard Beach
Day Four: DHS (7 Days left)

That is correct. With a 10-Day hopper pass, it is good for 10 Days admission into any of the four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, DHS or Animal Kingdom). These passes expire 14 days from first use, unless you purchase the non-expiration option. If you have additional days at the water parks, those do NOT count against your 10 theme park days. Just make sure when making your schedule the time between your first and last theme park visit is not more than 14 days. Enjoy your trip!

You'll have to crunch the numbers to see what works better for you:
A). 10 day park hopper w/water park option w/dining or
B). buy the basic AP, add dining and pay for the water park tickets.

You could go w/Tables in Wonderland, but since it's your honeymoon you may want to have all of your meals paid up front. If that's the case, then I'd go w/dining.

Just a thought - for a 14-day trip:

One day arriving
One day departing
Two days at Universal

Just that in itself takes you down to a 10-Day ticket. If you want to go to the parks the days you depart and arrive, take two pool days or water park days. With Downtown Disney, the Boardwalk and all the fantastic restaurants in all of the resort hotels, two days without the parks will seem like nothing. Sleep in, lay by the pool/beach at your resort, and have dinner somewhere nice on-property but out of the parks. Promise you won't be disappointed. And it's your honeymoon - a few days out of the parks just enjoying eachother in the gorgeous weather won't hurt. And congratulations!!! :wave: You'll have a wonderful time!

The Water Parks & More option is separate from your theme park admission days. Using one does not affect the other.

Theme park days are considered "calendar days" of admission. (Hence why you need Park Hopper if going to more than one theme park per day).

WP&M options are considered "admissions". With a 10-day MYW ticket, you'll get 10 WP&M admissions. These admissions do *not* allow minor-park-hopping (though you can come and go from the same park on the same day as necessary). So going to Blizzard Beach in the morning, Typhoon Lagoon in the afternoon and DisneyQuest in the evening would use up *three* of your WP&M admissions, but none of your 10 theme park days.


Tables in Wonderland (formerly called the Disney Dining Experience) is a discount card that is available for purchase only by Florida Residents and Annual Passholders. The card gets you 20% off most table-service meals in WDW, for a party of up to 10 people, including alcohol. The card costs $75 for an AP holder, but with a large enough group you could easily save that much in your first meal.
