2 Transportation Questions

Hi! Heading to WDW in December- trying to plan ahead in all areas...

If you can help me out on either of these questions- would appreciate it!

1) We have a regular non-park hopper pass- only spending 1 day at Animal Kingdom. The Jingle Jungle Parade is scheduled to begin at 3:45 PM. We have dinner reservations at Chef Mickey's (for the one and only time slot I could snatch during the week we are there!) at 5:20 PM. What are the chances that we can see the parade and still make it to the reservation? I had wanted to stand at the beginning of the parade route and then bolt. But I noticed that it starts further back in the park- and the only way to get out is where the parade is headed. I'm kind of thinking that we may have to give up on the parade, sadly. Please tell me I'm wrong!

2) We have a flight out of Orlando airport on our final day at 4:55 PM- so we're spending our final day at Magic Kingdom before we head out.
A) Is there a bus from MK straight to the airport? Or do we have to go back to our hotel first to catch the magic express?
B) What are our options for our luggage? If we have suitcases and carry-on bags, is that too much for a locker? (I've never seen them...) Or should we check with the hotel (ASMovies) to hold them until we're heading to the airport?
C) How early would you recommend heading out from the park to get to the airport? I have no experience in how much time to expect the transportation to take.

THANKS!!!

1. It would be very, very tight to try and watch the parade and still make your Chef Mickey's reservation. The parade starts in Africa, so it would take you awhile to make your way out of the park and to the buses. Then you would have to hope that a Contemporary bus comes quickly. I don't think I would chance being so late for your ressie that you miss it.

2. You have to take ME back to the airport from your resort. You can not take it from a park or any other hotel. Bell services can hold your luggage and carry-ons while you go to the park. Your ME pickup will be approximately 3 hours before your flight, and you will need to be at the bus stop 15 minutes prior to the pick up time. Be sure to allow yourself enough time leaving the park to get back to your resort in time. Have fun!

Thank you!! Your response is EXTREMELY helpful! I actually found another reservation time for a different day that works EVEN better.

You can also do your airline check-in and send your checked bags ahead, as long as your airline is one of the participating ones.

Participating airlines are AirTran, Alaska, American, Continental, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest and United.
