2 month old?

We will be making our trip July 19 for 11 days! Lets just say we are pretty excited as this is our first time as a family and our first time with toddlers and infants. After reviewing the offsite stroller rentals we found its fairly cheaper to two mini gt strollers. We decided to go in this direction as we will be traveling with two toddlers (4 and 5) and then a 1 year old and roughly 2 month old (baby is due April 20th).

My question is how are these strollers with a 2 month old? Do they recline enough for her to lay down for a nap, sit up when needed, etc. And does anyone have any experience with the baby chest carriers, (Baby Bjorn) in the middle of July with the heat? I'm hoping switching between the two from time to time will help prevent the baby from getting too restless. We are staying on the Boardwalk so do plan to take breaks for a afternoon nap. Will also be traveling with 5 adults. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I definitely recommend a baby carrier! We used ours 80% of the time it is so convenient! I would use a brand other than baby bjorn though. Front facing carriers can cause hip dysplasia. Also, the baby can't rest their head on anything when they get tired. I recommend Boba carriers. They're super ergonomical for you and baby- keeping babies knees at a 90 degree angle and the baby can put their head on your chest to sleep. It was about 80 when we were there in January and my Boba didn't get too hot.

Hope you have a great time!!!

Haven't needed strollers in a while but just a reminder to use lots of sunscreen on the little ones!! And have a most magical trip!

I would say leave the 1 and zero year old at home with grandma while you are on vacation. But I'll be outvoted here. There is nothing for a one year old or two month old at WDW, and all you are goingto be doing is babysitting an trying to wrangle the 4 and 5 year old.

Hey I want to leave my boys home but they've learned to use the phone and would turn us in!! In a few years if we leave them there will be a kegger at my house so I guess I'm stuck with them for a while!! LOL

Completely disagree. My 10 month old loved so many things! Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, small world I think you are forgetting how much they take in and can be so alert. My son smiled and laughed so much and we have wonderful pictures to show him one day!

Leaving the two little ones is not an option. We are however traveling with my grandparents (This will be their 10th trip to the world) So they have no problem taking over or heading back to the rooms for nap time etc. I would not be able to bare knowing we are having the time of our life without our entire family their. I am sure the sights, sounds, and smells will intrigue the little ones to bring some smiles on. :)

Totally agree with you! We took our 8 month old with us in 09' & we had a wonderful trip! I have a couple of pictures of her reaching out to Pluto & many others where she is smiling or laughing! We had a really pleasant trip. She slept alot & we were able to get in alot of shows & things that we wanted to do. As far as a 4 & 5 year old they'll love it! We took our daughter this past September( she was 1 month shy of 4) to celebrate her birthday & she was great! We did take an afternoon break for a nap or swim but, I say go & enjoy!

What about the slow paced rides such as HM, Potc, SSE, etc, will we be able to ride together or be separated? (Mom, dad, the infant and one toddler)

My DD's first trip was 2 months old with her 4 1/2 year old brother. We opted for separate strollers, it was easier to separate if need be plus the infant wasn't disturbed when the brother was talking and she was sleeping. Oddly we brought an umbrella stroller for the older one and the full stroller for the 2 month old. We found just the opposite worked better. The umbrella stroller just allowed her to mold into that little fetal position. She was very content in there and was not use to being held all the time because she had to share the Mom.

Curious are you speaking from experience?

It is a tad difficult for a nursing Mom to leave a 2 month old behind and often difficult for a Grandma to take on a newborn and a 1 year old. Plus many of us love our families and want to vacation with them not vacation to get away from them. And yes I'd vote you down from first hand experience.

We took my son the first time at 14 months and the three of us had such a wonderful time and he did plenty even though there was only 2 parks at that time. All the continuous load rides allowed a one year old, plus there was Dumbo a carousel, there were shows, parades, we vacationed at his level. When his sister came along he had double the fun because we baby swapped and he was able to go twice on his favorite attractions like Splash Mountain.

I was 4 1/2 months old the first time I went...they are along for the ride, and they don't have to pay to get in. They're as much a part of the family as the other two are.

I so miss the rider swap since my brother grew up. It was great! Did Everest 14 times in one day with that sucker (and a whole lot of fastpasses)

Well Avery is finally here. Born May 1st. Slight change of plans, my sister and her husband will be traveling to Disney to join us on our 5th day. (Staying 10) and has agreed to bring our newborn then rather than her be there the entire trip. My new question now though is on rides such as haunted mansion, spaceship earth, pirates, etc. Will I be able to bring her along while in one of the baby slings that you wear on your chest? We will be doing child swap for the rides she's not allowed. So for examples haunted mansion can hold up to 3, two adults and a child, but will myself (with baby) fiancé, 4 year old all be able to ride in the same buggy?
