Hi All! This is my first time posting here so if I do use abbreviations I hope I use them correctly :-/ Some background is my husband (never been to WDW) and I (been once and literally only 1 day) are taking our will be 15 month old in July. We are arriving on Monday (flying in) and checking out Friday staying at AoA.

We are planning to go to the parks (park hopper tickets) on Tuesday and Thursday with a pool, Disney springs, Chef mickeys day on Wednesday. I’m thinking with doing Chef Mickeys that will take care of DS meeting the characters (he LOVES Mickey). I was originally thinking we would do AK (1/2 day) and MK (1.5 days) but now DH wants to meet Chewbacca and go to DHS. I think since we are there we should go ahead and do Disney Jr for our LO. Also they have EMH in DHS while we are there in the morning any way we can use these to an advantage with LO? So what are some of your favorite things you have done with your LO around this age and which park is worth spending most of our time at other than MK?! Thanks for any helps/tips/ideas in advance!

Chris was about 7 weeks old when we first took him in 2016. Jace was about a month old when we took him back in October. They were 20 months and 6 months when we returned this March. I'd say that other than MK, we spent the most time at Epcot. But I think that was out of convenience as opposed to being planned.

If you're going to DHS then Toy Story Land would be worthwhile. I know you couldn't do Slinky with DS, but you could rider swap if you and DH wanted to do it. TSMM is a possibility. It is a bit jerky though. You'd have to choose between an FP for Slinky or TSMM.

But the land itself might be fun to look at with a little one, he'd be just the right size for the immersion feel lol!

Indy will probably be too loud for him, but then you're already planning one show which is probably enough.

The rest of DHS is really going to have to wait until he's older, unless you spend a lot of time doing rider swap.

Honestly at that age, I would stick to MK. Or a day and a half at MK with a half day at DHS. You could go to DHS in the morning, book an FP for one of the Toy Story Land rides and then hop to MK for lunch. Whilst transferring to MK look for same day FP and you can book two of them right away if you only pre-booked one at DHS. There will be plenty available for rides like Dumbo, Jungle Cruise, Small World.

Our grandson's first trip to WDW was at age 16 months. We wondered how much he would get out of it, but he LOVED it.
Likes at MK - Carousel, Dumbo, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, characters (especially Mickey at Town Square Theater) Journey of the Little Mermaid, Peter Pans Flight, Mickey's Philharmagic, and Tales with Belle were probably his most liked. He DID NOT like the Haunted Mansion.
At DHS Toy Story Midway Mania was probably his favorite, and he enjoyed Disney Jr. and the Muppet show. Not much else there held his attention.
At AK, he loved the Safari because of the animals, the Festival of the Lion King, and Finding Nemo.
