1st Solo Trip!!! A bundle of nervous excitement!

I am so excited... I figured out I had some vacation days to use at work and I jokingly suggested to my husband that I make a trip to Disney World. His response... "sure why not". I couldn't believe it! So after scoping out the deals... I have a solo trip planned for Dec 8-11 staying at Corondo Springs!

It is a short trip and I have an annual pass... so here are my must do's. (I have never been to Disney at Christmas). See the Osborne lights, Candlelight Processional and the castle lights. Other than that... I don't really have any plans.

So my question for you all... any suggestions of things that are not to miss while I am there? Can't wait to hear the suggestions!

I've been to WDW solo for many day trips, and you are going to love it!!! Lucky you to be able to spend a few nights!! I love WDW at Christmas. One thing I would do if I were you, since I've always wanted to, but haven't yet, is resort hop!!! All the resorts look so beautiful for the holidays! Enjoy your trip!!

Going solo is fun! And liberating! Some people are surprised you are alone (specifically when I went to see Mickey :)) but I met some WONDERFUL CMs and guests that I never would have talked to were I with my family. Have a fantastic time!

I also support resort hopping when you go solo. You can not only see all the great decorations (if you're there during the holidays) but I love checking out all the bars. You'll often find someone to talk to, either another customer at the bar or the bartender (if you want to talk to others.) Or, it's just a great activity that isn't focused on rides. There are some amazing cocktails in Disney if you get off the standard bar menu and really look! (Highly recommend BlueZoo at the Dolphin.)

Have fun! Going solo is so much fun :)

Might I suggest if your budget allows it to sign up for one of the Candlelight packages ? If you care to spend some extra time in line , there's nothing like sitting behind the conductor for these events. We've done it for the past 5 years and its been wonderful.

I'd also suggest the tour of Gingerbread houses at the resorts... some are over the top (Grand Floridian) and some are just meh (Contemporary) but they all sell the same gingerbread. The chocolate carosel hourses at the Beach club are nice as is the train setup at the Yacht Club.

Over the past few years they've scaled back the amount of resort decorations, but we still have a blast. I and my wife will be back there in that same time period ourselves.

I have to agree with everyone else, tour the resorts, Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge are my favorites. Maybe MVMCP and get your picture taken with Santa. Go to DHS when they turn on the Osborne lights. All the parks are decorated so make sure you check them out, enjoy!

The Osbourne Lights are incrediable. I was actually speechless. I saw them for the first time last year. I've gone solo as well. A few days before my family met me down there. Try Biergarten in Epcot. They have long tables that they fill with multiple groups and families. It's a great way to meet people and the food pretty good.

Your gonna love going solo. I did it last year in December and really enjoyed it. As others have stated do some deluxe resort hopping, the candlelight package, MVMCP is a must, and to me the best was the Osborne lights. Wow! As Disney Shib suggested, think about going do Biergarten as part of a Candlelight package. Being a solo person mixed in with other families at Biergarten was actually a lot of fun.

Last night I booked a Candlelight package for Biergarten for lunch! I was a little nervous about the food, but decided that the atmosphere is worth it! I am really excited... and now I won't have to line up hours in advance to get some of the non package seating!

Is there anywhere to see Santa (I am a big kid at heart!) besides the MVMCP?
