192 Congestion

I just wondered if anyone could give some tips on the traffic situation on the 192 west of the World Drive entrance.
The last time I visited in 2000 there was really bad traffic congestion for at least a couple of miles back up the road. I hadn't experienced this in '98 and put it down to the road improvements that were being carried out.
So, has this situation improved? I'm staying on Route 27 and can head south and then up I4 as an alternative access, but I'm wondering if 192 may be quicker.

192 is fine now. All construction is done west of world drive.

Yo....Take 27 to 192....BUT.... are you listening...???...Take a LEFT at Black Lake Road.....Follow it until it dead ends....turn left and follow the road ultil it dead ends (you will be at the back end of AK.....Right turn.....first stop light GO STRAIT...(if you turn you will be going back to I-4......Follow signs (the purple ones) to your destination. Be careful... lots of people from Tampa area know this way and we are ALL bad drivers.....:lol:

We just got back from our trip and resided at a place just off the 192 (not the Kissimmee side, the other way).

We were there after Easter. Traffic wasn't too unmanagable, but there were definately a lot of cars. Expect to hit stop lights since they don't seem to be synched up well.

We're sort of halfway between 192 and I4. Last time we tried 192 initially and regretted it. Towards the end of the trip we went south onto I4 and then in the Celebration entrance. We didn't see another car till we went over the 192 along World Drive. Anyone ever try this?
