1900 vs. Yachtsman

I wasn't really thinking when I booked a dinner at 1900 Park fare for the same night that we are going to MHSSHP. I'm thinking of canceling 1900 and booking Yachtsman instead for a different night. We are going with just adults so loosing the character interaction isn't a big deal, so Food wise would it be a good switch?

they both are very good, however, because you are doing the party, it is your wises dinning option because dining in the parks is limited, and you can just hop on the monorail to get to the party. it really comes down to cuisine. they are kind of different. yachtsman is upper scale steaks and seafood. the 1900 is a great food buffet with Cinderella and friends.

As maryszhi mentioned, they are very different experiences. 1900 Park Faire is a fun character meal, and the Yachtsmen is a signature steakouse. I would definitely choose Yachtsmen especially if you only have adults in your party. We have only eaten there was, and it was a wonderful experience.

two totally different dining experiences. we love yachtsman as far as food goes. we enjoy the entertainment at 1900 park fare, but as far as the dinner goes, Yachtsman hands down!

Yachtsman. The night you go to MNSSHP you should go to a restaurant preferably at your hotel (or nearby) or just eat inside MK. We usually dine early on party nights at the hotel where we are staying so there's no rush.

Thanks everyone I switched to Yachtsman, my only hiccup is that I forgot it was signature and takes 2 dining credits. Oh well I think we will just pay out of pocket for one of the breakfast we are doing. Thanks for the advice. 8 day's and counting.

Good choice. Why torture yourself and your party in a restaurant full of overstimulated, screaming kids if you don't actually have to be there? Your group will have a great time at Yachtsman, but in comparison to the former, your group might also have a great time eating acorns and berries on the old Discovery Island.

we have been to crt, chef mickey's, liberty tree tavern (when it had characters) and never had a big issue with screaming children. I wouldnt let that bother you. unless you dont like children then prolly not for you. Anytime a little one gets excited we actually kinda like the moment. Are daughter last year at 22 months cried at one time at one place, hollywood and vine, because she was thirsty didnt want water and the waitress took 20 min to give our table a drink (never going back there again worst service ever ... and its a buffett .... on that note why do they deserve automatic 18 percent gratuity there is nothing formal in what they do)
