Our first night at Disney I have ADR at 1900PF. I wanted a character dining that I had not done before. This would be it. However Im just not all that excited about the Cinderella theme. I tend to like Mickey and the gang. Tho videos does look like they put on a good show. Then I looked at Whispering Canyon for a different kind of place. Good reviews, looks fun. You've guys have been great helping me decide on others so whats your thought on these two. Its just two adults.

I've been to both but this year choosing park fare because we will have 3 little girls that will love the characters. The WCC is nice as well but can be loud. Really depends on your party and what you enjoy as a group.

If you like Mickey and the Gang, you should go to Chef Mickey's. But it sounds like you have already been there. Whispering Canyons is a "different kind of place" but there are no "Disney Characters". It is a cowboy theme and I think it is a bit noisy....Ok it's loud...but fun. The kids are encouraged to get up and parade around on stick ponies are various times during the meal. When someone asks for ketchup, the guests are raise their napkins and swing them over their heads. When we were there, a guests cell phone rang, the waiter grabbed the phone and answered it. Luckily is was the guests mom and not a business call. Look on YouTube for a good idea of what goes on at Whispering Canyons. The food is typical, off the menu, not buffet like Chef Mickey's. You should try it at least one time. Also...not sure when you are going, but The Crystal Palace is a character meal with Pooh and Friends.

Actually it was 1900 and Chef Mickey that I had not been to. We decided on 1900 because the atmosphere looked nice and we can walk around GF to see the Christmas stuff. Ive seen all the stuff on WC so just letting the forum here decide for me I guess. Cant decide.

I was hesitent the first time we went to 1900 Park Fare but it was fantasic...the Step-Sisters and Step-Mother make the experience they are hilarious..Cinderella and the Prince were also very good. We enjoyed the interaction witht he step-sisters so much we are going back in September. The food is nothing to write home about..

Don't get too worried about the Cinderella theme, now I've never been to 1900 Park Fare (planning on it) but in the parks the Step-Mother and sisters are HILARIOUS and I believe it is one of the rare opertunities to meet Prince Charming?

We really like 1900 Park Fare. Agree with everyone that the Step Sisters/Mother is hillarious. :)

Given the two choices...1900 PF would be my choice...you'll love the step-sisters...and you can't beat the after dinner stroll through GF Christmas.:)

1900 PF, no question about it. We have never been disappointed in our visits. WCC is a crap shoot. We had been 2 times-one definitely better than the other. We went again recently and were seated in the "VIP" section as the gal called it. It was totally removed from the big dining room and overlooked the lobby and waterfall. It was terrible and the kids couldn't participate in any of the antics. VERY disappointing for them and us. For the cost-a complete waste and now on our DND (do not dine) list.

If you want a character meal 1900 Park Fare is the way to go. The food is better (in my opinion) at Whispering Canyon but there aren't characters (official Disney characters anyway) here. The food at 1900 is pretty decent too though.

I don't really care for the food at 1900 Park Fare, but I've never eaten at Whispering Canyon. The character interaction with the step sisters is really great but if you're really not feeling the Cinderella theme, then I'd go with Whispering Canyon.

1900 PF would be my choice. I like WCC but prefer the atmosphere at 1900. Fun even for adults. If you prefer bbq type food go to WCC. If you want more traditional buffet food with prime rib go to 1900.

If the other adult is a dude...the Whispering Canyons
Yes the other adult is my boyfriend. It will be his birthday and he has no idea what the Whispering Canyon is so it was going to be a good surprise. However there were more likes about 1900 so I decided for that. Now I think Im going to try both.
