180+10 Dining reservations online help

Hello all. Tomorrow is our day 180, and I'm working on getting everything ready for my sunrise surfing the Disney dining site for reservations (apparently if there's no BOG dinner res the vacation is ruined). I have a question about the 180+10 rule and how it works - if I'm logged in to My Disney Experience on the morning of my 180 day out, will the next 10 days also become available for me to make dining reservations online? Currently it only shows 180 days from today as an option for making reservations. Just wondering if the site will magically know to open up the next 10 days as well, or do I need to call for that? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Yes, that's correct - the 10 days will magically appear tomorrow morning! However, be prepared to not find availability for some restaurants, as there have been others who've experienced lack of any availability during the same time frame as yours. I think one was Biergarten and another was Captain's Grille, but I'm sure there are others as well. So if you find no availability for a particular place, then you'll just need to keep checking back. But you will prevail in the end! :)

It will magically know you are at the 180+10 point. If it doesn't allow you to book past the 180 Mark you will have to wait until 7 am and call the dining reservation #. This happened to me last year, I waited and called in at 7 and still got everything I wanted. I would suggest that if absolutely must have a BOG ressie you try and book it for the end of your trip. Good luck tomorrow morning.

Actually, since the website 'upgrade' - it's 180+the length of your stay. Not sure if it extends beyond 10 for longer stays, but I was on the fence about adding an extra day around my 180 last year and learned the hard way.

If you're staying onsite and your MDE is set up correctly then the Dining Site will automatically show the +10.
As BOG is a priority for you (and nearly everyone else on the planet) get that booked first and you have more chance of getting what you want by booking it for the end of your trip as @Jae99 has posted.
Be gentle with the online site, the last few months its been really touchy and crashes at every opportunity. Remember that the phone lines are available an hour after online booking opens should you have problems

When doing our in the 180 day the mother in law booked for nearly all of our 14 days on the website but when I looked on MDE I could only book for the 180 nothing ahead so maybe check the website instead of the app
