13 people...2 cars...help!

slight problem....

we are 4 adults 9 children....4 of which require car seats....

we're planning on maybe an SUV and a minivan...but I'm not sure whats the best...or the cheapest....

we'd like to get 6 in one,
5 in the other...

any suggestions!

will the car rental supply car seats or should we bring our own....

6 in a minivan is completely do-able.


I would suggest bringing your own car seats, especially if you are flying. My experience is that kids are much better behaved on the plane if they are in their seat rather than on a lap. Their seat is familiar and they are comfortable in it (and more likely to sleep).

If you can get an SUV, the Ford Expedition will hold 8 passangers. I think the Chevy Tahoe is the same.

Rent a 15 passenger van! The vans include certain models of the Ford Econoline or E-Series, such as the Ford E350 and Club Wagon E350, the Dodge Ram Wagon B350 and Ram Van/Wagon B3500, the Chevrolet Express 3500 and the GMC Savana 3500 and Rally/Vandura G3500. Most rental companies have these. It would be far less expensive than renting two vehicles and you'll have plenty of room for all. Good luck!
