121 Days to our Trip and MagicBand Customization Just Went Live!

Yesterday, the "customize magicbands" link went active on my MM+ account, but I was unable to choose colors.

Today, at T-152 days (sorry, the title was a typo!!!, it's 152 days out), I find that I am able fully customize the MagicBands for everyone in my travel party. We have to complete the customization by April 3, 2013, so it looks like we'll have plenty of time to make up our minds on the all-important question of what color rubber band we'd like.

I logged on this morning (177 days out) and was able to customize Magic Bands as well as choose FastPasses. They seem to be pushing the dates out farther and farther.

No Fastpasses for me yet, but I'll keep checking.

I thought you weren't eligible to make them until you're 60 days out, though...

My family is in the same ballpark -- 123 days out. MBs are customized. Now just waiting for 60 days out from our trip (February 8) so that we can make FP+s for the rides we want when we're there.

How can you choose FPs for 177 days out? I thought they had to be within a 60 day window. My trip is 124 days out and I won't be able to start choosing until 2/8 (well, techincally 2/6 but 2/8 is inclusive of the three days we'll be in parks).

You are right. I typed and spoke too quick. It gave me a pop up that said to choose Fastpasses now. Wife got excited and said she was able to choose. However, upon closer examination (me looking over her shoulder) it listed our dates but when she clicked to choose it gave an error statement saying we are not within window. I was able to personally customize all of the bands without issues. The box stating that we woudl be able to and my wife's excitement lead to the premature post.

Interestingly, FP+ is enabled immediately from the moment you make resort reservations. You can make FP+ selections in a 60 day window each day moving forward. So, if you can get down to WDW before your actual planned trip, you're good to go for making FP+ choices. Hopefully, people aren't abusing the sytem and making reservations for when they're not actually there.

We are at 197 days and sometime during the day today mine changed from only offering gray, to having all of the colors available. So something must have happened with the computer systems today!

It's odd. Everytime i log in it tells me I can book Fastpass+ now. Naturally, when I go through the motions of atteptig to do that, it says someone in my party must be within the eligibility window. I've accepted that it will be at/ or around the 60 day mark but it is quite misleading.

Do you have an ap? We do, and we can make fastpass choices without resort ressie from now until February. It won't let us go past then.

No AP's as of right now. That being said we previously average about 16 days a year. We are looking at around 20 between our next trip in May/ June and a MNSSHP trip next Halloween. Needleas to say, I am strongly considering an upgrade.
