12 days at WDW

Just returned from a 12 day vacation/honeymoon at Pop Century. I won't go into day by day details. I'll just hit the highlights and lowlights. We arrived on 7/25, spent the day getting settled in and then went to Hoop De Doo Revue. Had a great time. Yeah, a little pricey, but what at WDW isn't. Spent the next few days touring parks and waterparks. Crowds weren't bad in the morning, but they would catch up with us by about lunch time. Then we would head back to resort for swimming and resting, and then head back to a park in the evening. Had a little rain almost everyday, just threw on a poncho and kept going. Saw Cirque Du Soleil on Saturday, and it was excellent. Had dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe, which was a blast. Also had dinner at Boma, which I liked, but wife and daughter weren't too thrilled. They aren't the kind for experimenting with food, though. Had a nice meal at House of Blues, and a fun evening at the Adventurer's Club. I guess that pretty much covers what we did.
Now for the lowlight. Lots of rude, inconsiderate people. Never have noticed people being this rude before. It was almost amazing. People wouldn't think twice about walking into you or in front of you. I spent most of time dodging people. I'm a pretty big guy, I could have turned my head, pretending not to see, and mowed most of them over. Line jumping has apparently become the sport of choice at Disney. If they didn't cut in front of you, they would elbow their way around you. Lots of talking during shows, made it very hard to hear the show. Finally, spent time seated next to lots of rude people in restaurants. Worst was at Boma. Were seated next to an English family who were letting the young kids run wild, scream, bounce on the booth seats, squirt spritz bottles at the table, etc. The two older daughters, who looked to be in their early to mid 20's, were extremely loud and obnoxious, and had their chairs flung halfway out in the aisles making it hard to get around them. Hopefully, the empty bottle of wine had something to do with this, but I really don't think that was it. Maybe things have always been this bad at WDW, and I have never noticed them before. For the most part, too, and this may have been just because they were more noticeable, but the majority of offenders seemed to be from overseas. My wife has a very good friend from England, and she made the comment that her friend would be embarassed to see her fellow countrymen behaving the way we saw many of them behaving. I did put a damper on the trip at times.

I agree about the people being so rude, and just plain not paying attention to where they were going.

Oh, and I went to Cirque on Saturday too! I loved it, but wished that they didn't let a huge crowd of people in the door after the show started. People kept walking by blocking my view.

Glad you had fun!

I would like to defend the behaviour of my fellow English folk. I'd like to, but I can't. The yob culture is now dominant over here - drinking lots of alcohol and behaving badly with a total disregard to others is all too common, as is taking no responsibility for offspring.

Sorry you got to see the obnoxious side of my county's culture. We are not all like that, but sadly a hell of lot are. Hope you still had a good time.

You want to see us when we go abroad following the National football team - its a riot (literally)
Unfortunately, not all families (any nationality) are as well behaved as we are / they should be. And alcohol doesn't help. Did you get their address - I'll go and have a word :)
Glad to hear that you enjoyed the rest of your trip - thanks for posting
