Today is the first round of the U.S. Open in golf, and I dont know if anyone here likes golf, but if you are watching Tiger Woods, which most people know, started off with 3 straight bogeys. He is 3 over par, but will he come back and win?

3 over just might be the winning score on this course. Tiger still has 69 holes to play.

P.S. I hate Miami.

Well the leader is some guy named Bo Van Pelt at 2 under.

Golf! Yes! Tiger - needs to relax, and he will do fine! I just like to see Tiger do well to see what kinda pressure he can put on the other leaders!

Best scenario, is Tiger behind by 2 or 3 strokes and the other guys start sweating and miss a 2 foot putt with 3 holes to go.......and.....:D

Well I wonder who will win seeing Tiger is at 7 over. For him, not good but for the amateurs who aren't that good, they would pray for that score.

Tiger's problem is not being able to keep his drives in the fairway. He's constantly playing second shots from the rough, and the US Open rough is punishing. Tiger can bomb away at Augusta or St. Andrews, but the US Open is set up for the control player. If you're playing from the rough all day, you're dead.

Well Tiger Woods finished his day at 6 over par with David Howell from England leading the tournament. Tiger was in the rough all day, but the problem was his flat stick. He putted horribly on every hole. He did make some impressive hooks to help himself get to the green but he could not finish anything to get a par. Phil Mickelson was playing a lot better than Tigre, but lets see what Friday's Round 2 will be better for Tiger. He tees off Friday morning. Coverage starts at 10:00 AM on ESPN switching to NBC around 3:00 PM and back to ESPN at 5:00 PM.

Even Retief Goosen and Sergio Garcia miss the cut, but another shocker is the defending champion, Michael Campbell, also missed the cut. I guess thats defending the title for you.

I think Mickelson has a good shot at winning, but he will need to be at least even tomorrow to have a chance, he made some amazing pars today, and I think he can pull it off.
