planning on one night before WDW vacation. coming from Lego Land. will be going to eat at T Rex at DTD. which would you recommend the Royal Plaza (stayed there a couple of times, last time 2 years ago) or the Best Western Lake Buena Vista suites (never stayed there). only $10 difference in price (RP $10 self parking) so any good reviews of either?
any info appreciated.

I've stayed at the Royal Plaza and had a lovey room, it's very close to DTD, walk is only 5 mins.

Rooms were lovely, we were given a lanai room which was on the ground floor one year and we didn't like it so we asked at reception and were given a room in the main tower, I believe you pay extra for this room and it was a lot nicer than the other, it had a huge bathroom, small sitting/living area with couch and small balcony.

If its only 1 night you can't go wrong here, we used to always stayed on Hotel Plaza Blvd, buena vista palace, but now were Disney stayers!

Hey Mike,

I stayed at every DTD resort last year, and I would not recommend the Best Western. I think the Hilton, Royal Plaza and Holiday Inn are better choices at DTD, at least.

I also like nicnic's advice to check out a Disney resort. The price difference between DTD and a value resort may not be much, depending on time of year.

Let me know what you think of Legoland. I'm working on an ebook for it.

I stayed at the Royal Plaza hotel for one night in December before checking into the POR resort for the rest of our trip. Our room was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. I also recommend looking at the resort prices.

we checked out POR for the night before our stay there, rack rate is about 200 a night where as Royal Plaze & BW LBV were 100 with taxes and resort. we will arrive about 6:30, check in, go straight to T Rex at DTD for dinner and since we will only be in room to sleep & shower we really wanted to save money, plus the one time i called for POR it was filled for the night we need it. we have 5 so we are really limited for Disney hotel.
any more info?
thanks
