I have not been able to find a definite answer to my question so going to ask here

Traveling with another family and they purchased MM already. I really want my family's ride photos too. If we are linked on MDE can we share the one MM or do I need to buy my own?

If you are linked on MDE, then you'll be able to see any photos that are linked to their magic bands as long as they have their settings made to allow friends to view the pictures. So, any ride photos that are linked to at least one band from their group will be visible to you as well. If you want pictures from a photopass photographer to be visible, but you want a few pictures included that are only your family, just make sure that one of the other family's magic bands gets scanned for those pictures and they will show up.

One other thing to keep in mind with those ride photos: if your family and the other family end up not riding something together that does pictures, you might want to borrow one of their bands for the ride so that your family's picture will show up.

We did this over Christmas. We purchased the MM and used it during the week. While there we bumped into some friends, by chance, who had just arrived and were staying a few days after we left. I told them to get all the pictures they wanted and put them on a PP+ card. Additionally, my sister also arrived after we left and I told her the same thing, add all your photos to a card. When they both returned home, about 14 days after we did, they gave me their card numbers and I added them to my MM account and all their pics showed up! Since we still had about 30 days left on our download I pulled all their pics down and sent them to them.

We are not planning to spend 24-7 together so I'm thinking I'm better off just buying my own, oh well it was a nice thought
