1-Day Trip Advice: Monday Dec 9 vs Tuesday Dec 10

Please help!
I'll be on a spontaneous LA trip and I'm trying to choose a day for my first visit to Disneyland Park (been to WDW many times). DL has magic hours on Tuesday that I will not be able to take advantage of, but for some reason Touring Plans is predicting much lower crowds that day (7 on Monday vs 3 on Tuesday). I was assuming the crowds would be reversed based on the opening times, but there must be something else at play.

Are Tuesdays usually significantly less crowded? Any insight would be appreciated. We will likely get Maxpass.

I had the crowd levels reversed. TP agrees with you.

Monday is not the day to visit. There are higher crowds because people who take days off or are on alternative work schedules get a three day weekend and use Monday/Friday as an extension of their weekend. Coming from someone who oversees a team, people who place leave usually extend weekends, and random single workdays are usually for medical/child reasons.

I generally wait for Tuesdays. On TP, Monday is open til 12, Tuesday only 11. DL expects Monday to be more crowded. too.

Haha, unless they're NBC fans.

I absolutely despise the new Fantasmic but still recommend it to folks who haven't seen it or haven't been to Disneyland.

OP has never been to DL. Lots of people who haven't done HMH a bazillion times actually enjoy seeing it.
