MK continued

Some random pics along the way.

Made it to Pirates!

I had to sit with an older couple, but they were nice.

After Pirates, I walked to the heart of Adventureland.

The Treehouse looks beautiful at night with all the lanterns.

There was a 5min wait for the carpets, so I hopped on.

After my nighttime flight above Adventureland, I decided to hop on Pirates one more time.

I want to point out that Jack was stuck in this position ALL DAY LONG.

MK continued

After Pirates, I decided to hangout with some silly spooks.

I sure missed seeing the Liberty Belle lit up.

HEA was going on when I got out of HM. Matter of fact, the POTC part was fixing to start, so I got to see it, which was really cool.

This was the only picture I managed to capture. :hilarious:

When the POTC part was over, I continued on towards Frontierland. I was ready to use what turned out to be my final FP of the trip.

It was time for the “Wildest Ride in the Wilderness!”

After BTM, I hopped on Splash, which was only a 10min wait.

This past week has been crazy busy! But on the bright side...

...college football is back!! :joyfull:

My Tigers got a W, and yours truly got a nasty sunburn. God I’m ready for fall weather.

MK continued

After Splash, I met up with M and L in Liberty Square. The night was coming to an end, and there was enough time for one more attraction. I was wanting to head towards Fantasyland/Tomorrowland, and M and L really wanted to ride Pirates, so we decided to split up.

I walked through the castle to get to Fantasyland.

I had a decision to make. 7DMT or Space Mtn. I still hadn’t ridden 7DMT yet and was constantly checking to see if a FP came available, but I had no luck. Don’t get me wrong, I like 7DMT, but I’m not obsessed with it like everyone else.

After thinking about it for a few minutes, I knew I had to end my night at MK the right way.

Please excuse my bangs. :hilarious:

My name popped up on the screen.

Not sure if y’all can see it. It was starting to disappear.

It was 11:15 when I got off Space, so the park was technically closed. I called M to see where she and L were. She said they were on Main Street and asked if it was ok if they head on out. Of course I said yes because I knew they were probably tired, and we had a long drive back the next day.

I told Tomorrowland see ya later and made my way towards the hub. I started to get that sick feeling in my stomach because I knew the trip was pretty much over. :cry:

Though the park was closed, I still had some things to do.

MK continued

I really regret not taking a picture of the “Partners” statue during the day.

I wanted to grab some PP pictures in front of the castle, so that was my first stop.

Just want to say the PP photographer was very awkward.

Next, I went to get something sweet from a place I’d never tried.

I had never been to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor before.

I absolutely love apple pie, so it didn’t take me long to make up my mind.

Apple Blossom Sundae

Omg it was sooo good! And it was the last slice of apple pie they had! I got it with a scoop of chocolate and vanilla. This thing was so huge, I almost couldn’t finish it all.

I watched the first Kiss Goodnight while eating my sundae, then went inside the Emporium. I looked around for a little bit and got what I came in there to get.

By the time I stepped out of the Emporium, the 2nd Kiss Goodnight was going on.

Happy that you finally made it there! That ice cream parlor on Main Street USA has always been my favorite--love the ice cream sundaes. The interior design is so quaint--has that old ice cream parlor atmosphere. (Some guests will comment that the ice cream isn't a premium brand like Ample Hills, but whatever it is, I've always enjoyed it!)

They use Edy’s. It’s one of my favorite brands of ice cream. The prices for the sundaes aren’t bad for the amount you get. I’ve always wanted to try the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, but for some reason we’d always forget about it. I definitely plan on going back!

Leaving MK continued

With eyes full of tears, I took one more look at Main Street and Cinderella Castle :cry:

, not knowing when I’d be back.

I told MK see ya later, then began the depressing walk to the bus stop.

Luckily a bus was pulling in right as I got there.

It was just me and one other family.

I really liked this F&G promo sign.

I can’t remember which color monorail this was.

I think maybe monorail silver.

All of my pictures of the Contemporary turned out bad. This was the best one I had. :hilarious:

Finishing up the night

I made it back to Sports around 12:30.

Both M and L were fast asleep. I quietly got ready for bed and was ready to hit the sack. Though I was sad, I kept reminding myself that we had plans the next day before the drive back.

After reflecting on the day we had at MK, I fell asleep.

Saturday May 26th: Disney Springs/Travel day

I think we woke up around 9am. I started to get that sick feeling you get when you know you’re about to leave WDW. It didn’t take me very long to get my bags packed, so I went ahead and took a couple loads of stuff to the car.

When I got back to the room, I realized I hadn’t taken any pictures of the inside!

For some reason I was very intrigued by these shelves. :hilarious:

Absolutely love these pictures on the wall. Sure do hate to see them go. I’m not a fan of the plain, all white, no theme, generic looking rooms that are taking over the values. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the murphy beds.
